A great choice congrats. I had to have drive assist in my AMG as I’m a tech man and love to have it for when I need and help with resale value / desirability. I have a designo Matt grey too. Since sep 2020 from new. I too found their was lack of content online and took the plunge. As soon as I got it I had ceramic coating applied. That took two full days. They did the callipers, and wheels too. Apparently its easier to apply and less time required compared to gloss which they would need to buff first…even on a new car. Due to this it was significantly lower in cost also. I wish I got the front PPF’d but that’s and extra 4 days on top and I waited for the car 10 months to get delivered. I couldn’t be asked. The paint on the front has held up very well from chips etc. What I love about the paint is that it’s so much faster to dry than gloss. The sheen it leaves keeps well, the colours hides the dirt very well. I am extra careful where I park, dents and scratch repairs are the last thing I want to think about. The ceramic coating has really helped to maintain this paint, I recommend it.

Great news that your car has come through so quickly. I just heard yesterday that mine is not due until March 22. 9 months from order to delivery seems to be the norm and my car is just standard no extras other than Plus pack.

if you get the matt get a wrap over it or it will drive you nuts !! Oh and get the wheel insurance one scratch an the night rims will have you in tears if you dont. This is all from personal experience i have a C63s with Night and race pack

Great colour choice, exactely what I would have gone with, one comment and one question though I had the driving assistance pack on my cla previously , it was fantastic , really worth getting for the distronic cruise and the auto steering was amazing Did you get a good price for the c43 as I’ve been noticing the prices have gone up a lot lately for second hand ones 😃 ?

Hey Mike, Thanks I'm really excited to see it in the flesh when it arrives! I did think about the driving assist as it is really a great bit of tech but decided to save a little bit of money and was also a bit worried it may add production time with all the parts shortages at the moment. They are having a hard time getting enough cars built at the moment that's why the used market is so high right now. I don't plan on selling the C43 right away because I'd like to keep it for more videos but if I get a really good offer It may be hard to refuse.

Interesting I opted for a 3 year PCP deal and adding the driving assistance pack lowered my monthly quite significantly due to the impact on residuals. Probably wouldn’t have optioned it but adding it made sense on my deal!

Thats interesting Vikas, It added £35 a month onto mine but i guess it depends on the overall spec/package. I'd consider adding it on to be honest now but I don't want to tamper in case it adds further delays. All a bit scary at the moment!

Great car and specs but it would be nice to have more options when building your car like you said with the red interior and matching red stitching , it would be nice to have a different calliper colour option to match the yellow interior you’ve chosen. Maybe a carbon option instead of gloss black on the exterior. We are looking at getting and CLA 45s later this year.

You’ve gone for the exact spec that I have! Superb stuff mate! Ps. The memory seat package doesn’t control the steering wheel on the CLA45s, you have to move it manually!

Thanks Andrew! Ah that is good to know. My C300 had the memory function and it moved the steering wheel too. It was part of the easy entry/exit function. No biggy though as hopefully none will move my steering wheel! :)

Congrats. My option would be shooting brake i find it incredibly appealing while being more practical AND also very rare... at least in my country. I would really like to hear some summary of c43 you owned. I heard lot of stories about squeaky interior (after a while), terribly overpriced service and what not. Would like to know your take about that as you seem to be quite honest about things, which i like as a potential buyer of C43.

Yep any mercedes leaving the factory now wont have augmented reality sat nav for now. I'm not sure if or when it will return.

ahh you shouldve waited for the 22 version, they have a much better aerodynamics plus package which gives you a bigger spoiler and bigger side skirts it just looks better overall. Still a great choice though.

Hi Sinister, the 2022 version is due to have a big downgrade in features due to the Mercedes production issues. Things like the burmester sound system won't be an option, not even the midline sound system only the very basic 100W system for the same price. It will mostly be tech features gone due to the semiconductor issues.These will be things very difficult to retrofit but the new aero bits will be easy to just buy and retro fit so i think its much better to have a late 2021 model

@@ABAUTOAMG Might be a UK thing, I live in canada personally and ever feature is still available here with extra added stuff for 22, like you said with the sound system, for us the cla 45 comes with a base 225 watt sound system so I think thats due to a CLA factory being close to us in the U.S. Anyways, hope you enjoy the car man. im gonna be ordering mine soon too.

Any updates in the T-shirt’s? I’m assuming the CLA will be getting some treatment 😉 but is there any news on when we might able to get C class shirts for those without the full AMG goodness?

To be honest I had not planned it till I test drove it. The engine and handing just blew me away and just the overall package with the amazing looks etc ontop of that had me sold. Both are brilliant cars though :)

Ah, I do like the E53. The interior is brilliant and very well built in the E line up. The E53 was a little too large for me, don't get me wrong it's an amazing car and has great handling for it's size class but it was a bit too big for me and I found the handling to be a lot less nimble than the CLA45s. The CLA45s was much for spirited and fun but the E53 would make a really comfortable cruiser while still having good power and fun factor.

Looks sweet, but are you downgrading from the c43 to the cla45? The c class is slightly higher end than the cla

@@DYAMG Real AMG's engines are hand built in Affalterbach. The C43 isn't considered a "real" AMG since its not hand built. And the CLA45 is barely hand built, its created on a mass production line, but then hand assembled, and that production line is not like the other AMG 63's Honestly though, its just silly gate keeping. To me, if its an AMG car its an AMG car. I just mentioned my original comment because the CLA is mix of C class and A class, while the C is, well, the C class. Slightly higher

Hey JC, It's true the CLA45s is based on the CLA platform which does have some lower quality bits but Mercedes upped their game with the new generation of CLA and also the 45 Engine line up. In my opinion the New CLA45s is not even comparable to the old generation CLA45 which is why it also costs almost £20,000 more. The Engine is actually the main star here. The new m139 AMG engine is a pure AMG engine, It is put together in the main AMG engine factory by one man and signed. This is a very special engine for AMG, so much so its going into the new C63 models when they arrive, its one of there new flagship engines. The C43 is an amazing car and I love it but I personally consider the CLA45s to be an upgrade due to the amazing hand crafted engine and upgraded technology. Love both though 😁

Hi All, I've spoken to Mercedes about my CLA45s that's on order and I'm afraid there is some bad news. In July they released a revised specification that removed the Sat-Nav Augmented Reality (nice to have but not necessary). They have now re-released the same brochure (with the same date) but a substantially reduced spec. So far I've found the following has been removed: AMG TrackPace, Burmester Sound System, Augmented Reality SatNav and Wireless Charging. Has anyone seen or been told about this?

I have been given the official statement from Mercedes about the cla spec changes. Your information isn’t correct, in the U.K. it will lose track pace, wireless charging and boot kick release only.

Hi Ryann, I always want to be transparent with everyone about my cars here on the channel. For my main job I work for a design studio, its a business I've grown with after 10 years, lots of long hours and hard work but its a really rewarding job that I enjoy. KZread is a really fun hobby and passion of mine too. I have bought this car on a PCP finance. I plan to make an honest video running through all the costs to share with everyone.

I hear they may be removing lots of features in order to produce more cars due to the pandemic and semi conductor issues so the facelift model may be a much watered down version. Otherwise the top end AMG models wont be arriving till 2023. By then il be looking to get a new w206 C63 for the channel :)

Anyone rubs their finger on your paint finish it’s instantly not Matt but polished, they’re a nightmare to maintain and clean you will regret that satin finish. Believe me my m8s got an Aston Martin it is satin Blue and because he was not up on the maintenance (washing and cleaning) it looks patchy, expect to spend seriously longer caring for that finish over metallic.

Hey Paul, I have researched and have heard a lot of the risks of the matt finish. I decided I would bite the bullet because I really wanted to be able to give everyone my own experience with it. It may well end up being my first and only last matt coloured car but I'd love to be able to help people decide and create some great honest owners experience content. I will hopefully be having a good detailer take care of it for me too if it's too tricky.

Where’s your source material as most others are saying this engine is the replacement for the V8 run in conjunction with electric batteries, that engine will be around for a long time it hasn’t been around long why would they replace it or upgrade it?
