Matt - I love the yellow & black combo. I ride a Catrike Expedition in Laramie Wyoming (7,300 feet ASL). I've been following you're videos since Japan & Korea. This AZUB is very impressive.

That was a really cool edit with the overhead shot of the "exploded view" of the all the trike parts. Very masterful with the choice of music and how you filmed that section. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the continuation of this series of videos. You said to "shout out" in the comments. Shouting out from Chicago, Illinois. I bought my first trike last year and rode a little bit but really started ramping up mileage this year. Started a new (old) job working for outdoor outfitter REI. I worked for them a few years back as a bike tech and now I'm back full-time just working the sales floor. I'm riding my Trident Spike trike (heavily customized - I have a Rohloff as well), a total of 22+ miles per day to and from work, and that's not counting leisure rides I do with my wife on her trike as well. I'm feeling pretty good and would have to agree with you that trikes are truly "smile machines." Everywhere my wife and I go people smile at us, probably because riding a trike looks like fun, and it definitely is! I've never had more fun or felt more comfortable when it comes to riding something powered by pedals, and that's counting all the bikes I've ridden over the last 30-something years and the one 2-wheel recumbent I owned. Trikes beat them all, hands-down. Anyway, so glad to see more videos from you.

Do you ever feel out of place or get stares when triking near other people? Biking is exercise but laying down gives a lazy look, very contradictory.

Yea. Sometimes I get strange looks. But it switches almost always to a smile when you engage with the person. Most people are probably trying to figure out if I am disabled… I suspect.
