Building Michael Wittmann's Command Tiger 1 Early Production with Full Interior | USTAR NO-004 1/48
Hello everyone, in this first part I will be building the full interior of this incredible kit; 1/48 Tiger 1 by USTAR commanded by Michael Wittmann. Wittmann was a German Waffen-SS tank commander during the Second World War. His original Tiger was S21 but he may have received this tank when he promoted to Commander of the 2nd Company of SS Panzer Abteilung 101.
I visited Wittmann's grave as part of a battlefield tour last year, and when I saw this kit on the shelf of my local hobby shop I knew that it would be a kit that I'd be interested in building. The engineering is really good, especially for the scale and it's a kit I'm throughly enjoying.

This looks like it has a really nice balance between detail and number of parts - e.g. the whole single piece torsion bars. Really tempting!

I’ve got to say it’s a great kit, highly detailed, especially for its scale!

It is interesting. I have never built a tank before. There are alot of small parts.

I am currently building a Tiger from the same company. The small parts are fiddly. I am taking my time with the build.

Hi Tom, I like tank interiors. Have you ever considered a cut away model? This interior looks really good. See you again.

Thank you. I was thinking about it. Maybe it would suit a 1/35 model though. This tank will be going on a diorama so a cut away wouldn’t work unfortunately.
