That tuned torque curve is pretty interesting. They obviously give you a lot more low end grunt, but at 5500 rpm there's a huge dip of like 100lbft and then it jumps back up around 6000rpm. Have you noticed a lack of torque or the truck pulling hard during a WOP then falling on its face, then pulling again? I imagine a 100lbft dip like that is pretty noticeable.

0:25 "Not that bad" (glances nervously out the window at my stock AUTO 99 civic with the d16 in it)

It looks beautiful, I can’t imagine adding anything new!

Wow awesome truck! And great video too, really cool to see how much further you can take a raptor and still maintain daily drivability. This video definitely sparked some jealousy from the looks of the comment section, but I can't blame them I'm jealous too!

Justin I just want to say I absolutely love your truck and the mods you added! I've been in love with the Raptors since they first came out but couldn't see spending the money for one but I believe my wife wants me to have one just as much so I see a 19 in my future and I cannot wait!

I have been a ford guy my whole life I don’t have a raptor but a 3.5 eco boost supercrew I test drove all f series before I bought this beast It hauls it’s fast Looks great and with the 3.5 inch exhaust from MPBR Wow Sounds good hauls butt

What performance improvements did you see from the cold air intake addition?

The Eco gets so much hate in the truck world but I’ve been owning one for 2 years and I have no regrets about it. I would never add an aftermarket exhaust on mine that’s just personal preference, but at the end of the day that’s where all the hate mainly comes from cuz it’s a V6 and it doesn’t sound like a V8, I got over it pretty quick since it’s one capable engine and for the ones that make fun of it all I can say is: Drive one

@@jacobking4106 The early 2011 models may have had some carbon build up but they fixed the issues. An ecoboost will last just as long as a V8.

I’m regretting buying my 13 FX4 with the 3.5.. has nothing to do with pecker size and everything to do with reliability. Go watch Scotty Kimers “do not buy f150 with this engine” video. Ticking timeboms. Way to much computer driven crap that fail. This is an amazing looking Raptor though.

The Ford F-150 Raptor is my ultimate dream car. Unfortunately i live in Europe and i am still in college. But man... Justin, any updates on how the Sway-A-Ways are treating you? And why you went with those over a Fox/Icon/King setup? I'm tempted to upgrade my suspension to something along the lines of a Stage 5 Icon setup and would just like to consider all the options.

With my tune my mpg stayed exactly the same, only worse if I redline which would happen anyways

I'm 20 planning on getting a gen 2 raptor when I'm 25 and I'm glad I got to see all my upgrades in one truck because damn that's nice. Gonna keep it stock for a while, but first upgrades will definitely be the cooler and front bumper upgrades, and then exhaust bc I know for sure there are a couple exhaust kits that make the v6 sound much better. Cold air intake will def come along with those upgrades and I will probably wait until the stock tires need to be replaced and then I'll upgrade tires and wheels. Also will upgrade stock brakes after they're done. Only thing I don't plan on upgrading is the suspension, I don't plan on offroading it much because I want to keep it around for 250k miles or so. Cool vid

I love how Roush saw the factory fresh air scoop for the intake and said “nah, we’ll just suck in hot air”

I was completely sold once I saw the child seat in the back ( new father here). Great truck and definitely switching to a Ford Raptor. Great video for someone who will use this truck as an everyday driver.

I’ve no idea where I can take it to have the custom build mods like with what you did to yours. I also use my truck everyday. It’s my main vehicle. It’s been a dream truck of mine since they came out and now I’m an official owner. Bought it one shot and am proud. I had a sway a way on my Raptor...shocks had a defect. Broke both front arms and damaged driver shock towers (twisted it). It wasn't a unproper install. But they still were feeling great for 3 weeks

But you are right Ford didnt really make it clear that they where putting a v8 in there raptor. Believe it or not my father works at continental, and hes the boss of the plant. He completely turned the plant into one of the best continental plants in the US. So he gets visitors from Ford, from Germany, and from all over the place. Last summer the person that is in control of the making of the raptor actually came to the plant. My father was showing him around, telling him about how many pieces they make for the raptor, and all that good stuff. the guy asked if he liked the v8 in the raptor instead of the v6, and he said yes. But yes I do hope Ford does puts a v8 in the raptor

I work in the malvern area always see this truck driving around it looks great man. I have a 18 3.5 with a custom tune on e50 and it ran 12.3, don’t know the dyno numbers never strapped it down.

Nice truck! I have a stock 2019 raptor in white. Thinking about tuning it, but was wondering what it does to gas mileage? I run 91-94 regardless but similarly to Justin I use my truck as my daily driver. Does a cold air intake make a noticeable difference in terms of performance? Planning on throwing one of those on too, thanks for your help :)
