    I am 73 with Parkinson’s on a fixed budget, but I am starting a 4 x 8 layout. I have been collecting HO train pieces for 50 years. This includes trains, buildings, power, systems, landscaping, etc. my layout is a freelance call the Chippewa Northern. It is a subsidiary of the Canadian national with connecting rights to union pacific and Chicago northwestern.

    Great video on landscaping especially where you used dirt that you sifted from your backyard! Very impressive of how its turned out so far. I'm anxious to get started on my layout. Heck I bought 7 locomotives, 12 covered hopper cars, 8 open hopper cars and 4 tankers 2 months ago if that tells you how excited I am and hadn't built the table yet lol. Thanks for sharing your videos TR and always look forward to new ones.

    Wow that’s great! I’ve always loved hornby trains there just hard to find here in the US lol. There’s nothing better then having family thats into the train hobby. Sounds like a lot of fun though, I appreciate the comment 😁 Glad I can help as well!

    Wow! You are really creative with applying the ballast, dirt, sticks, etc.! I like how you soldered the power wires to the track in an earlier video. I had a model railroad layout years ago that my brother-in-law & I built over a summer when I stayed with him & my sister. We put a lot of work into it (especially he did--I was 11 & mostly just had fun!) but we got it up & running & enjoyed running the train around afterward. Thanks for your videos; they're instructional and fun!

    Thank you so much for all the great help and inspiration. Was wondering if you could show a simple wiring diagram to show how you made the independent inter and outer tracks? I have the same dual controller but having trouble following the video during the wiring stage on the part two video. I am sorry if you have already addressed this earlier, I’m new to HO scale railroading. Thanks again!

  • @TopRailroad

    @TopRailroad

    Thank you! And If I remember I think I only had it wired from the outer track which powered the entire layout. I could only run the one train at a time. You can definitely find videos on how people wire a inner and outer loop here on KZread. Sorry to not answer your question but I hope you find it out on here

    Just curious, how much sculpt a mold did you use to make those little hills. I’m looking at getting the same product for a larger scale project and was wondering how much I should get.

  • @TopRailroad

    @TopRailroad

    2 жыл бұрын

    I only used a little less then a full solo red cup worth of the Sculptamold and still have about 95% left in the bag. So I would say one 3 pound bag is good for a pretty large amount of molding. And there about $11 dollars for a bag.

    Some men would say a good marriage is bliss, and still others a nice pool in the backyard. Some others would say a freshly cut lawn on Friday and now your waking up on Saturday, and for them that is bliss. What do you say?

    Don't say that this is a "how to do scenery" video. Say that this is a "how I do scenery" video...How to do scenery implies that your way is the only way and it is not... You do it your way and I do it my way and neither is right or wrong...
