Building Extra LEGO Maersk Train Cars for Set 10219 | BrickLink LEGO Haul
In this video, Evan builds three additional Maersk train cars for his LEGO Maersk Train Set 10219. Some stickers were created using a printer and sticker paper at home, but they do not look as good as the LEGO printed stickers. This video is a mixture of a live build with commentary and timelapse videos.

You can get a sealed one for under $400 - lot more than when it was in stores but this is one of the best train sets. Good idea coming up with some alternative colors for the cars. Also thanks for mentioning about the misuse of priority mail boxes. I think it’s something that contributes to rising costs. I see it all the time especially on eBay orders.

Totally agree that this is one of the best train sets they've come out with. I like most of the alternative colors, and I will likely build some of them for a train MOC I'm currently working on. The misuse of priority mail is frustrating as the post office is financially in trouble. I wish people would just follow the rules. It's honestly not that hard. eBay is especially bad, yeah. This order was the first BrickLink one I've seen that was not properly shipped in the priority boxes.
The bumpers are actually called couplers but the circle things on the sides are bumpers

Ah... Thanks!
What an amazing train! You should make a short video, when you get batteries, of it running!

Interesting! I did not know that
If you go on eBay there’s companies that make remakes of Lego sticker sheets, I am doing that to put new stickers on some of my old Lego planes! If you buy sticker sheets that aren’t the official ones on eBay you will save a lot of money and most of them are way higher quality. I recently purchased from the bricksticker shop, one of the biggest remake sticker companies for LEGO.

Great idea! I guess I do not need genuine LEGO ones as long as they are high enough quality. I'll check out the BrickSticker Shop. Thanks!

Yes they are very good and sell on eBay and on there on website, but I purchased on eBay because I think it is safer.

Thanks Dario! We'll find a good spot for it sometime soon. That is kinda temporary at the moment. haha.
I did the same but built them in yellow. Love the maersk blue but it is way to cost prohibitive.

Yeah, it was pricey. Definitely a hard decision to make, but I just went for it... haha. I like yellow as well!

It really is a great set!
But those are expensive right? Very nice!
Just brought mine.. anyone have the part count for the extra car builds?
I found two of these train sets on Amazon, each for $750. I like this one, but I am not paying that much. Besides, my main focus has been modifying Saturn Vs. Trains are nice, but I should probably stick to one area before I run out of money to do things like eat.
@JustABrickInTheBucket

Yeah, this is probably my (Evan) favorite LEGO set, but yeah very expensive after it retired. What exactly are you doing to modify the Saturn V?
@dannypipewrench533
Жыл бұрын
@@JustABrickInTheBucket Well, I thought I would convert an S-IVB third stage into a Skylab space station. But, almost anyone modifying a Saturn V will do that. I also want to switch the connections on top of the S-IC first stage and S-II second stage, so I can put an S-IVB third stage on top of an S-IC first stage (this is called a Saturn INT-20), and put an S-II second stage on top of another S-II second stage, so I can have a "Heavy" Saturn V with an S-II as a third stage. I figure I can also take the S-IVB and make a Saturn IB, which uses the S-IVB as a second stage. Since the Saturn I and Saturn IB use slightly different, but nearly identical first stages, I could come up with a design for an S-IV (Saturn I second stage) and then make an S-I derived from my S-IB (Saturn I and IB first stages.) I have also considered making strap-on boosters that use two F-1 engines each.

That color is just medium blue not very rare as you think
Also they have could used Medium Blue instead of a new expensive color.

@@GabrielViana-mg3vh Ah. I see what you're saying. Yeah. true. They could have easily not created another color. Might have been part of the contract with Maersk. They might have demanded that the blue was accurate to the brand. Who knows...

Hello Rafael! Thanks for watching!
its looking way better with those carts in the back. Trains are the best, unfortunatly LEGO doesnt produce any good ones at the moment... They could make so much money with good train sets, buildings and just the basic stuff! just some basic Trains and single sets with wagons for a couple bucks would be great. ( how awesome would it be to just purchase some more carts to make your train longer?!).make it modular and stop producing stuff with 400 bucks retail prices. no kid or parent can afford that and its kinda destroying the lego spirit in my opinion... (except the Creator architecture or modular building stuff, thats great).

You're right, that would be super cool! I would love if I could buy a roughly $20 to $25 set that is a single train box car or something, and over time could add to my collection. Great idea! That would be super awesome!
If ur not putting on any of the long containers that r on the first car, u really dont need the missing cheese slopes. I would cut the extra clear off of the sticker. Some of the cars r backwards.the steering wheel piece should be on the same end of each car. I think u have started something here. I'm sure I'm not the only one who now wants this to be a weekly episode. I'm not even into trains but between u bricktsar and robinhood bricks, I feel the need to go buy a train
@JustABrickInTheBucket

Hi Will! That is true about the cheese slopes, though I do like the cars when they are full of containers. I didn't mention it, but I would like to add more containers, so I would need that part. Fortunately, they are not too pricey, but I also might just use a different color than the Maersk blue. We'll see. Yeah... I didnt realize they were backwards until you mentioned it. Haha. Thanks! I couldn't do a weekly episode of something like this unfortunately, that would be too expensive, but I would like to do things like this a couple times a month. I do have another thing I'm working on now, so you might see that in the near future! I love the LEGO Trains, and would highly recommend!
Hi Evan, I am not sure if it's cheaper for you in the USA but in europe I use for the stickers this site: www.brickstickershop.com/Lego-sticker-10219-Maersk-Container-Train-(2011)-Custom-Replacement (No I am not the owner), but I have too say only the pre-cut ones are ok, I mainly use the for the olders sets but it's as good as it gets, I would say 8 out of 10, if Lego quality is 10, goodluck!
