Great tutorial for beginners
What I would find very helpful is if you would show how you then form your foundation using those points. In other words those points/nails are in the way of everything you need to do. So how do you translate from the exact point to foundation for forming Without offsetting that?
What is that silver extension above the prism? What is it used for?

It's a flat shoe attachment for the prism pole. He may have it above the prism for inverted observations.
What is the specific equipment that you are using? I’m curious as to what the cost is.
