I just found your youtube channel and I have to say it is amazing! I just graduated high school last year so I relate to just about everything you've said about having hearing loss in school, and all that. I believe that you said in one of your videos that you used to wear the otiocon safari hearing aid? I am currently still using my pair of oticon safari hearing aids that I've had for 8 years. How much of an improvement do you think new hearing aids like the opn are compared to old hearing aids like these? Especially in band, I think you said once that you play clarinet once right? I play piccolo and flute in my college's band now and of course I still struggle to listen, balance, and tune to others constantly in band. Sorry for the confusing comment I just wanted to get your opinion on these things. Thanks again for this awesome channel and keep up the good work!

Hi! Thank you so so much for watching my videos! Getting new equipment has drastically improved my abilities to function and do things such as band and just conversation and listening in class in general! I had the safaris as my first pair of hearing aids! I primarily play the alto saxophone and I’d recommend using a tuner on your phone in class to help if tuning is a struggle. I still struggle with tuning but it has gotten a lot better over the years. I totally get the struggle because there is just so much to do at once. Even for a hearing person to play well there are a lot of aspects, now imagine adding hearing disabilities on top of that! Once again, thank you so much for listening to my videos and I wish you all the best☺️
