Thank you for this review. I convinced me to try to order it directly from their website and now that it has arrived, I'm glad I did.

I've bought the 7" version. That is more than enough for soldering / inspection work for me, a hobbyist. There is no 'shake' and the arms tighten very well. The measuring software is fine but a ruler under the scop is just as good. The PC USB works as a standard USB camera so using the cheese app in Linux will show it on a large screen if needed.

The quality on that is amazing kip can’t wait to see some working videos when ure using it, awesome product 👏 👏

It would be great if you could post a video of a calibration check. Maybe imaging a graticule so we can see the image resolution.

Thanks for the reply. Amazon sell various graticule calibration slides that can simply be imaged by the microscope, thereby adding a scale to the image and helping to define the imaging resolution. Other KZread reviewers seem to miss this step, so it would be very useful for anyone, like me, considering buying this microscope.

can you show how to take just a still image and not a video recording?

Just got mine really like it but the monitor turns on to welcome screen then shuts off. Once i unplugged the dc port for the lights it stays on, plug in lights turns off.

The no return refund was Amazone not so much Andonstar. I purchased a cheap Dcorn microscope and the remote didn't work, they "Amazon" just refunded me.

I see all these digital microscopes but everyone that does a review on one uses a farty ass little motherboard underneath it, is that all these are good for or am I missing something? Because if that's the case then you wouldn't be able to do repairs on laptop motherboards or consoles etc?

They are great for allowing the viewer to see what you’re actually doing. There’s only so much zoom you can get on an overhead camera.. so these allow you to show more.
