Extremely rare in the wild, the albino Corsair lacks the naval camouflage of its brethren. This is a distinct disadvantage and makes it survival to it current size extraordinary. I feel very fortunate to have seen this.

Just been catching up with the FT videos and that Corsair looks stunning. Can't wait to see it painted up. Hearing Noah talk about the presence it had in the air made me wonder, has anyone ever done an AVRO Vulcan yet, especially in a monster size? Whether it be with EDFs or props, I bet that would very definitely have some presence!

This, and your Zero videos are two of my favorites. I had an uncle who was a pilot in the Imperial Japanese Navy. In fact he and my dad fought on opposite sides in the Philippines at the very same battle Lingayen Gulf. I'm looking forward to seeing the Zero, and the Corsair in a dogfight. Wish my dad and uncle could see it too. Keep up the great work.

The Corsair wasn't bent winged because of the prop size, or the Hellcat would have had the same issue since it had nearly the same engine and propeller setup. The gullwing was done to shorten the landing gear.

If you're looking for something to make it whistle, you might want to look in the automotive section of your local store. There are little plastic devices that people apply to car bumpers. They emit a whistling sound that is meant to alert deer to incoming traffic. You might be able to make a 3D printable varient that has slight tweaks to the geometry to get the right pitch. Another alternative is to look at what caused the whistle in the real world. If I remember correctly (it may or not have been this specific plane. I know it was some WWII aircraft) it was actually the sound of the air passing over the exposed barrels of the wing mounted machine guns. Maybe inserting some metal or plastic tubing in their place may get you that sound you're looking for?

Not true, this is a myth. The Corsair was carrier qualified by 3 US Navy squadrons in early 1943 months before the British ever received any Corsairs. The reason the Corsair was not deployed aboard carriers at that time was due to an order by Commander Air Pacific stating "“In order to simplify spares problem and also insure flexibility in carrier operations present practice in Pacific is to assign all Corsairs to Marines and equip FightRons (fighter squadrons) on medium and light carriers with Hellcats.” It was purely a logistical decision.

I’m amazed companies haven’t licensed out the original plans for these iconic aircraft and made 100% faithful reproductions. If it was mass produced during the war effort, construction should be fairly streamlined so a company could specialize to recreate a few examples.

AVRO Corp. sold plans for the SOPWITH CAMEL until 1974ish (I have a set) Stopped selling them .....why?? LAWSUITS!! In todays sue-happy people NO big company is going to take that chance. There are home-build kits of 3/4 or 4/5 scale of many warbirds. Generally, Radials use a ROTAX ....IN-LINE usually a SBC.

You guys should make a cockpit chair that's similar to a plane with the controls and make it able to control your RC planes.
