I am just going through the book of Nehemiah...

Nehemiah was not a pastor, preist, rabbi or anything of the sort. He was the kings cup bearer. He would be considered a political workingman. Like the president's assistant. For such a man to make such a request. I wish people would hear pastor sweets heart here. This book of the old testament has always been one of my favorites. It tells us the story of someone who felt the heart of God and couldn't sit still knowing it. Where are the people who will weep for the church today? Where are the people in church who will have a heart for the unsaved? Seriously, church isn't a 1 or 2 day a week thing. It should be everyday. We are too comfy in our western religion. Rather than feeling the desperation of the heart of God. Our God is desperate for us and the ones who are not saved. He wants ALL to be saved but not all men want him. If only we can feel a small portion of the heart of the father, then people may get the point/picture.

Sure feel that way....if only I can view and love people the way God sees people and wants all men to be saved, my prayers would be more aligned with His will!
