Building an LED Clock Kit - Soldering PCB Fun!
This video demonstrates how to complete a small soldering project kit. It's pretty straightforward, and hopefully it inspires you to make on of your own, or alternatively comment on how I could have done it better! These kinds of kits are available everywhere, and just require a soldering iron, some solder, a beautiful blue mat (it has to be blue), and patience. That's about it!

Thank you, I needed some soldering practice before going for the real thing and bought the same kit.

word ima use this vid as a guide and hopefully it’ll get me sum in fedex or sum
I got the same kit and it’s great but sorting out the settings is a pain 😅
I have spent many years hand soldering (lots of kits, in production and even SMDs), and I note your solder didn't seem to flow that well. That could have many reasons - tin flow point (lead removal movement raised that), soldering iron temperature or maybe giving it another second of heat so it flows properly. The "washing" on the buzzer label refers to flux cleaning in automated production. An NTC (negative temp coefficient) is a resistor that is sensitive to temperature (its opposite is called a PTC), and the light sensor is called an LDR - Light Dependent Resistor - you will also see then om the circuit diagram represented as resistors but with extra marking to indicate what they are. Velleman still does kits, btw :).

Thanks for the detailed information! I'll take it on (printed circuit) board for my next one!
Very cool! Really enjoyed this one. Makes me want to try my hand at soldering.

That's great Corey! Give it a go, what's the worst that can happen?!
