this layout is looking really fun already nice work

TRIDE! On top of the Snap option, if you want spikes on slopes, you can place one on the first end of the spike line, and second at the other, duplicate some spikes, as many as you want in that strip, then select all spikes, ESC, and click Align X and Align Y. It's super convenient cuz sometimes you want a certain number of spikes and counting by hand is hard.

You can use a spider portal to get the lines for a cube, robot, ball, or spider dual, its the same size

This is just a suggestion but for structuring any dual you can turn on show hitboxs to see where to put the structures
