Building A Wood Bow ~ Harvesting Bow Wood

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This video will cover the basics of how to harvest bow wood and process it from a tree into staves. I hope you find it helpful and/or entertaining. Feel free to leave me any questions or feedback you may have down in the comments. Thanks for watching!
Go get Ryan's book that I reference in the video, and check out his channel if you haven't yet.‪@huntprimitive9918‬ is truly the authority on making primitive bows.

Liked and subscribed. I have found myself doing this also since I have so much Yew local. Ash, Elm, maple and hazel are on the list once I've managed to sell some Yew bows. Great video dude

@@EccentricArtisan many thanks. Every garden needs a pond and some food. I take it you're some in the States somewhere? guna have to be pen pals for now. My housemate has been doing the spoke horse lately, giving me some space to focus on the final stages. Precious staves but he's got it down now We went and plucked some out of the forest this evening as it happens

@@EccentricArtisan lovely stuff. I started doing yew walking sticks and sold a surprising amount to old boys in the states. I'm hoping my bows make their way there also, get a chance at hunting
