Building a warm survival shelter in the ground, fireplace made of stone and clay, cooking
I decided to build a cozy dugout on the edge of the forest next to the swamp, this place is very calm, I dug a pit and made a frame out of wood, dug a fireplace in the ground, it turned out to be quite large, it was a very exciting adventure, enjoy watching everyone!
My videos feature : Forest Craft, Beautiful Nature, Winter Wilderness Camping, Fishing, Shelter, Autonomous Living, Forest House, Log Cabin, Primitive Technology, Building a Forest House , Construction, Wilderness and Outdoor Survival Skills. Bushcraft equipment: such as axes, knives, saws, backpacks, clothing systems, shelters, etc. cooking utensils. Cooking over a campfire and outdoors. I use only the most necessary tools for survival in the wilderness, living offline, I am interested in doing everything myself without the help of complicated tools! Not everyone is capable of that!)

I believe I would add a piece to the bottom of your door. So no little creatures could come a visitating. Piece bro great shelter.

I think if I were you, I'd build the chimney up to at least 3 more feet high, with the stones and mud mixture and as I go up with it, get smaller and smaller with the hole until there would be about a 8 inch opening at the very top. This way the rain wouldn't be as likely to put your fire out, like it would with that big opening you have now. Also, how do you intend on covering the big gap where your step (going in and out) is? Rain, water, snow, debrit and etc, will come in there too, just asking. 🤷♀️

Well, this is a shelter in the wild, everything here cannot be perfect, the main thing is that it is warm and dry)
@BEV323

@@ForestHermit Nooo, I didn't say it had to be perfect by no means. It's just that I've watched many, many of these and thought of it. If you'd rather have the rain drown out your fire, then by all means, go for it.
Excellent excellent job 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Fantastica notifica caro amico 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Looks like you’re going to lose a lot of the heat out the chimney.

Hello again Alex! I like how you just use basic tools. And your creativity is amazing! Clear plastic wrap for your door is genius! I love the big fire, the jumping flames. 🔥 Stay warm and be well friend.

Awesome shelter! That said, that someone has the materials and tools. Often missingi in videos is a water source, which you have; access to food beyond berries and waste disposal. The floor was a great addition but how will the loamy soil hold up in the rain, especially with an open tread? Are you getting enough heat into the shelter? ❤

In that area it rains very rarely, and the sand absorbs everything very quickly. yes, it was very warm in this place, especially when the fireplace was full of wood

Does it collect water in your shelter when it rains?
