Building a Subaru WRX STI In 15 Minutes

With the 2004 Subaru WRX STI Going to its new home this Friday I wanted to completely wrap up the series on this car. I have one more video to make with the car but overall it is done.
When I got this 2004 STI my original plan was to part it out for some extra Cash. But I loved the look of the car and I thought I could relive what I had with my old 2005 STI and it was never the same. But I didn't want to just send this thing to its death. So instead I went through the car with the help of the guys at Rallysport Direct and brought this thing back to its Former Glory. I will have one more video on this car covering all the parts, the cost etc of what when into this build.

I love these build time-lapse type videos. It's a way to see how these crazy show car quality builds come to be, and help people like me who are new to car building find a place to start with it all since there's full length videos to go along with a lot of it

That was a great 15-minute trip down memory lane! I know you had some highs and lows (well, probably more lows than highs) with this build but it came out great. Glad it's going to an appreciative new home too. Right, that's enough nostalgia and sentiment, let's get on with Blu and the Mazda!

Off topic but watch "rotor piston motorsports" video on why semi-p is better than a Bridgeport, will give you some good insight as to why a street port is generally a better idea. The video goes into the topic of Semi-P housings, but also sheds light on why Bridgeports are avoided nowadays.

Nice.... hope you got 'all' the money. It seems that I will be going down this path soon. Went on a drive last Saturday. something oil related let go on the right side of the motor.. Oil everywhere. Haven't looked at it yet. I am kinda afraid to. I am hoping its something simple. No pops or bangs. just oil everywhere. It ran the oil completely out. I am hoping its not a cracked block. I have a brand new RA shortblock sitting if I need it. Thoughts?? I love when you have GD content.. :) the FD will be interesting. GL with it.

I want to build my Subaru around the tomei unequal length headers with an fp green turbo. Are the tomei uel headers efficient enough to do so with out possibilities of ringland and other common problems with uel headers . Thanks

(05/sti) recently had my passenger side headlight fade out with the other shortly following. i replaced bulbs checked fuses and relays and can’t seem to sort the issue any ideas ?? thanks i’d really appreciate it
The new owner is going to be happy! All it needs is a paint job to look new again

Yo. How loud is the Tomei? Would you say maybe too loud for a nicer neighborhood on a 2018 STI? Only have a Cobb Intake+Airbox as of rn but plan on full bolt-ons with an E85 Tune and EL Headers in the future tho. Also. As always. Awesome video!

During all this series i've been wondering how you know it's an 04 and not an 05? My limited knowledge would lead me to believe that its an 05 because of the automatic HVAC controls, which I think comes only on 05+? Would really love to get your take on this because if it really is 04 then I would widen my search criteria for my next subie :)

It is 100% an 04 🤝 The Vin pulls as an 04 sti The 04 stis also do not have the oem rear flares and are all 5x100 🙏 The 6 speeds also use a pump which this one has as well
