Building a shelf for my collection of 150+ UNICORNS!
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This video is not sponsored by tokidoki which is honestly sad because that means I have no excuse for my childish obsession with these plastic unicorn figurines and the money I have spent on them over the past seven years.
...and yet my only regret are the ones I missed out on buying ;_;
....and maybe a little bit how much I have spent on them.
....if anyone from tokidoki is watching this pls hit me up
Also - I realized I didn't explain, but I refer to chase figurines a couple of times. Each series has at least one "Chaser" which is a figurine you have to chase because it is way more rare (1/50 or 1/100). These usually sell for like, 5-10x as much as the commons.
If you are looking to buy open boxes of these, I would recommend ebay and or mercari. It is really hard to find some of the ones from earlier series, and if you can they are likely expensive due to their rarity. Since I bought these as they came out I didn't pay anything near the current prices you'll find!
For blind boxes the tokidoki website tends to be the most expensive. I'd recommend supporting smaller resellers or sites that do regular sales, like hot topic or barnes and noble (though they don't carry as many types).

Do I care about the unicorns? Nope. Do I like redesign shows? Kinda. Do I love watching people delve deeply into their passions and share them with me? All day. EVERY day. Never apologize for sharing your passions. Watching passionate people share their passions is my favourite thing about youtube. 😊

Watching the other video when you talked about your depression, I am HAPPY that you did this project. This is a PERFECT example of how one maintains your mental health - delve into hobbies that make you happy. And seeing this shelf all organized is such a pleasure. Reminds me of care bears!
Fully forgot all about the shelf as soon as the video started because that HAIR! THE COLOUR! THE STYLE! THE B A N G S!!!!!! Gorgeous!

@Dexy Nash And? her hair her choice. i guarantee you no one gives a shit about her "bald spot" which i honestly think is just where her hair parts, and i can doubly guarantee that no one gives a shit about your rude opinion. let the girl have fun, damn

@Dexy Nash You know she can read these comments right? she doesnt need your negativity. if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all. its her hair, i think shed know first if it was damaged.

Dexy Nash the hair color has nothing to do with anything. If you look you can see the color never even went to the roots. If her hair were damaged you would see breakage. There is no bald spot, simply a hair part started at the deepest part of the hairline
This is the sort of content the world needs right now. Wholesome, lovely unicorn content. Honestly, I just really love people gush about their passions and things that make them happy, and I will watch that no matter how long it is. Especially when glitter and unicorns are involved

Yesss!!!!
I just love how unapologetic and dedicated Angela is about her collections and hobbies.
Honestly, I have loved all of your "out of the ordinary" videos. While I subscribed for historical costumes, watching you be excited about your other interests makes me happy as well! You do a great job putting the footage together in a way that I don't realize I've been watching someone talk about plastic unicorns for over half an hour, lol. :)
I love watching people build things and organize things, so you satisfied two of my favorite things. Thank you. And they're SO cute. Hope you're doing well!
This is nothing like my interests but I watched the whole thing because it was so satisfying and soothing. Never apologize for your interests.
You look like a jetsons character, so retro and futuristic at the same time ❤️

This is the best compliment, thank you!
I have never heard of those unicorns before, I'm not even really into collecting any figurines, but I love that they're colourful and cute and that they bring you so much joy, because something I really love is listening to people talking about things they are genuinely excited about. So this video was a delight 😊💜
I'm really glad to be seeing this side of you. I've been watching a lot of your videos over the past couple of months and you always just showed your sewing and vintage styles. The last couple of videos have been great to see. I had no idea you were into colored hair and japanese stuff and conventions. I like it

I actually got into sewing through cosplay! I don't go to conventions anymore since I don't really watch anime or read manga these days, but it was a big part of my life for a long time. And my love of colored hair and video games (and unicorns...) has definitely stuck around, it just doesn't come up often!

@@AngelaClaytonCostumery that makes a lot of sense! I think it's really great getting to see these things about it, you should definitely keep doing random videos! 😃
I’m a registered Native American and I LOVE the little Indian unicorn!! Don’t stress about culture appropriation, it’s a unicorn and if someone wants to pick a fight about that they can go 😂😂😂 I think it’s adorable!!!🥰🥰🥰

I'm Mexican and if she had a unicorn with an obnoxious sombrero I would think its adorable. Honestly that "cultural appropriation" thing is bull crap for people to complain and ignore real issuses. Like if someone wants to celebrate my heritage, even if they aren't brown, why should I stop them?
@cassievanbrunt7791

Let everyone celebrate their culture, and enjoy other people's. My daughter is a member of the Nanticke nation, my father is mostly German, go Octoberfest. I love every cultures dances. But hula is awesome. Celebrate it all!!

The problem is that people use cultural appropriation wrong all the time, it isn't about using cultural elements alone but the context: european fashion brands using poc cultural elements on runaways were 98% of the models are white, white instagram models using poc cultural elements to look "trendy" or "exotic" being praised by it while people from the actual cultures they came from are mocked and sometimes even lose jobs over their heritage. That doesn't have anything related to decoration or toys and also doesn't automatically mean that a white person will be doing ca just by wearing something from a poc group.
I love listening to people talk about things they love and are passionate about 💕
Loved the video. It is always nice to see your interest in other things. I also loved your ceramic figurines unboxing, then like now you can just hear the joy in your voice.
That hair, eyeshadow and sweater combination is perfection on you!
it was so so cute when she called her collection a "herd"
You narrate things in such a way that is so enjoyable
I love watching people get excited about their collections. Even if it's something i'm not familiar with I find it enjoyable to watch people organise and display things they care deeply about.
As much as i love sewing, theres something so charming about the random, niche hobby videos that I just adore! Just keep doing whatever makes you happy, and people will watch! 💕
I enjoyed this video. At one time I was collecting McDonald toys back in the 1980's when the quality and toys were worth collecting. Kermit and the gang stuffed Toys, 101 Dalmatians snow globes, and Detective Gadget. They did nice Christmas ornaments too. I didn't collect them all, but I have several of the Madame Alexander dolls too.
These are adorable ❤️ I live with chronic depression and sometimes, you just have to make doing things that make you happy a priority. I love candles and the sun, moon star motif; I hadn't put candles in a long time because of how messy my house is and raising two kiddos. However, a while back, I was so depressed that I lit a bunch of my sun, moon, star candles and felt so much better. Make your mental health a priority and concentrate on what helps you make it through ☺️🤗
I watched the video because your enthusiasm was so apparent. Thanks for sharing your passion for unicorns with all of us. :)
I usually tune in for the sewing. I enjoyed this so much. Mostly for your hardwork, hairdo, and the passion for your collection.
Love seeing your collection. Your channel is also about you and these are clearly important to you. Thank you for sharing.
I'd watch any content that you put out that makes you happy. You're someone I will definitely watch anything.
Angela, I love your sewing videos, but this was such a satisfying one to watch! The perfect gift I didn't ask for!
Even though I'm not into the the unicornos, it was fun hearing your excitement. Thank you for sharing.
Ok, my cousin's daughter is getting tokidoki for Christmas. And off topic, great makeup here, especially the eyes. Very well done.
I enjoy the sewing videos very much, don't get me wrong. I just especially enjoy seeing you vibe with your special interest projects such as these ponies, the ceramic figurines, your bedroom makeover and the patterns. They're just so fun to watch because of your exitement!
One if the things I love about your channel is how you constantly come out of left field with things I've never cared about before but I always love watching them cuz it's so cool. Please keep sharing your interests with us!!
I, for one, love a good organization project video. The new shelf looks great!
these are so cute!!!! I love watching people's passion projects, no matter what they're about
Seeing you so happy is wonderful. Well done on your shelf!
This turned out pretty cute, and it was just SO SATISFYING to watch you sorting and shelving all of these!
This was great, I loved seeing the design come together and getting to see so many of your unicorns! They're super cute! Also, I agree, the glitter on the shelf was a great touch
Your enthusiasm for tiny toy unicorns is adorable jeez heck
I love how in love you are with these unicorns! Great project and lovely execution.
I started watching your vlog because of the love, joy and enthusiasm you embrace for past fashions and foods - ie: the things we love from bygone eras. It is never because you don't embrace today and your future and want to hide away from the 'now', which shows in your hair coloring and makeup (trendy). Your creativity is inspiring and you bring light and beauty by just being you. I hope you always find the happiness we find in you :)
This was so adorably wholesome! A real mood-booster!!
Watched it, liked it, enjoyed it! No one can be mad about cute little unicorn figures!! 🌟
The whole unit looks stunning, I love it and the figurines are adorable.
This made me soooo happy! They're all so colorful and adorable! I added this video to my "sad times, watch 2 feel better" playlist lol ❤
This is so adorable! The shelf turned out amazing, and all the unicorns are so so cute! Unicorns are truly the best! 💜🦄💜🦄💜
Your collection is so joyful and fun. I love your hair too.
I LOVE collecting things too. This was a lovely insight into another side of you, one that obviously makes you very happy....so that's a good thing. I enjoy order, so watching you organize these like I would have was very calming 😊 Its nice to see other parts of your life even though I love the sewing part a lot!! The finished article looks amazing 🥰 x
So joyful! Thank you for sharing - just the right type of content for these days :)
You have some amazing collections! Those and your figurines really are well curated.
Very cute! And a lovely colour gradient.
I LOVE it! Organizing is a fav of mine too so thanks for sharing your collection and the fab shelf.
I liked this video! It was cool seeing the unicorns up close and hearing about the design details, and I especially enjoyed seeing such a specific project. Seeing people's collections carefully arranged and displayed is a real delight.
I love this video. Thanks for showing your collection and the nice shelves.
Funny because I noticed these in your last video and was like "ooh what are those?" There is something satisfying about having a line of objects that are basically the same shape but different colors. I'm not even super into unicorns but this was fun and I like when people are excited about hobbies. Dad helping and bonding is always great too.
These videos are so much fun!! Thank you for making and sharing this video Angela!! 😍🥰♥️ At this point, no one talks about TokiDoki more than you, and they should really sponsor you... or at least send you PR. 🦄🦄
Totally not a ridiculous video. I love it, and I would gladly watch nearly anything that you narrate. You're so thorough
Also second what I'm sure lots of others have said--would love to see some sewing projects based on the designs! :)
I do enjoy unicorns and I love colour and organizing so I totally enjoyed this! I may not go out and purchase any Toki Doki unicorns however it makes me think about my own collections especially all my tea cups! And how to possibly change how I display all of those! We all get joy from somewhere! Thank you Angela for sharing yours with us! 🦄 ☕️🦋⭐️🌈
I've been admiring your display shelves for the unicorns since I first noticed it in a video and I am even more impressed now knowing that you didn't just happen to find a beautiful shelf but that you designed it and made it yourself
It looks really nice and goes well with the prints on either side. It was lovely to see you so excited about the whole process and how it turned out. Creative people should never limit themselves to one outlet. Dip your toes in whatever strikes your fancy!
I love the figurines but I must mention how lovely you look here!! The hair and the makeup are just *chefs kiss*
oh my goodness that shelf is adorable and sweet and so are the unicorns. :D
Love how your makeup compliments both your sweater and your beautiful hair. Thank you for another great video, Angela!
This is sooo cute!... Please, do more of content like this. I love your sewing, but this is amazingly satisfying as well.
What a niche. My sewing room has a little bookshelf of the mlp figurines. Your shelf is so cute!
What a wonderful video to put on while I’m organizing my sewing room!
I now feel the need to go out and buy some of these adorable figures. I loved the video! So cute! It turned out awesome!
You've done a wonderful job - the shelves look awesome and the colours are gorgeous!
So cute! The shelf came out great, and it's always fun to see people's collections. I can tell how much you love them. 🦄💖
Great video - I absolutely loved seeing your unicorn collection and learning more about them. The shelf turned out really nice, too. Also, on a side note - I love your hair, makeup and outfit from the intro (the colours work so well together!).
I loved this video. It was so satisfying to watch you organize these cuties. Perfect way to start at Saturday!
Fun tidbit: It makes sense that the adorable trans flag inspired unicorn is named Marsha. She's likely named after Marsha P. Johnson, the black trans woman credited for starting the stonewall riots in '69. A monumental event for gay rights. Would be fun to check the names behind these little ones sometime!
Super cute and exciting!!! A collection to be proud of!!
Your shelf design looks fabulous and your collection is amazingly gorgeous. You have done a wonderful job of organizing everything as well. It was fun to be inspired by your enthusiasm for the task. Thankyou for sharing this video with us.
never heard of these but carpentry plus blind box figurines plus organizing? 100% my favourite content 11/10 would watch again
I know this video is almost a year old now, but this video started my hperfixation on Tokidoki’s and now I have started my own collection!!! Thanks for showcasing your collection, I hope own day mine holds a candle to yours.
This brings me so much joy and satisfaction!
Not really into unicorns but I always enjoy hearing the pride and excitement and passion in your voice when you talk about your projects and other things you enjoy. And props to your dad for his part!
How interesting! I'd never heard of these little figurines!! They are cute. I like your shelving unit very much. Kudos to dad.
That is an impressive collection, so much fun to be able to display them like that!
Love is stored in the tokidoki shelf. It looks so good! Well made and as cute as possible.
The shelf is fantastic. Really like the color, glitter & the cost of the trim was well worth it.
This is an amazing video!!! I love your little cute tangents like the nail polish video. Seeing you excited about anything is amazing!
I like and enjoy this because this is absolutely lovely it’s so nice seeing how much you genuinely love these little ones thank you for existing.
Cute things being organised is my jam, especially when you are doing it, I love your process videos !
I love how the shelf turned out, great job.
Always love to see the things you love!
I very much enjoyed this! Thank you so much for sharing:) It was so nice seeing so many cute babies. Have a really nice day and thank you again!
Very cute. Love the fact you made the shelf! It’s lovely.
I loved watching your process for creating a bespoke shelf. Your enthusiasm and happiness made me feel joyful. Thank you!
I love hearing about people's collection. It makes me happy to know we all have our little guilty pleasures. I even have a few of my own. By far my largest collection of guilty pleasure is snow globes. I'm at the point I no have enough room to display them, which makes me sad but hopefully I will fix that some day.
That shelf is SO CUTE and I want one for my My Little Ponies!
Infinite and yet the same like my tea cups. Just lovely.
I love seeing people’s collections, so this was glorious.
i have been STARING this down , grateful you made a video showcasing it.
They’re so cute!! I love seeing them all lined up together 😊 I collect unicorns too, although all different kinds, and I may need to hire your dad to build a shelf for mine too 😆 They’re spilling over the top of the vanity where they currently live! Great video!! 💖🦄💖
I LOVED SEEING YOU GEEK OUT ABOUT YOU'RE COLLECTION !!!
Really cute hair, makeup and ensemble! Green is my favorite color followed by the blue you painted the shelves. I loved this video-organizing, building shelves, enjoying a look at the collection and hearing your enjoyment of the cute unicorns- all good. A little antidote to the trials of 2020.
I love all your collections and the shelving for these unicorns is perfect!
What fun! Unicorns are magical and our battered world could use more magic right now.
I love your video. Such a nice change. It is nice to see your collections. please feel free to keep on sharing. I love it.
