Building a Rocking Chair… My Best Work?

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Arbortech - bit.ly/3pdyq33
Free Makers Series Event: rlnk.cc/4daywoodworkingevent
This is was one of the most challenging woodworking projects I have done yet, which resulted in some of my best work to date. After working through multiple prototypes to make the perfect design for this rocking chair, I used traditional mortise and tenon joinery and am more than happy with how the rocking chair turned out.
Made entirely of Sapele and accented with square peg and bowtie spline made of Wenge, this rocking chair woodworking project will be a highlight piece in my living room for a long time!

Some youtubers would make a 7 part series out of a chair like this. Kudos for the timelapses.

Yes thank you, it is so hard to sit and watch the entire build. Some of us are way past that and this was about perfect time wise. Over production is a YT disease.

and here here to that comment. some of the people who make stuff and post it to ut dont realise how boring it is listening to a lot of waffling comment and useless machine or wood cutting and metal drilling. so to The Samurai Carpenter your video is excellent. bried, informative and entertaining

I met Sam Maloof in California when his woodshop was still down the road from where the compound is now, they move his whole compound thats on the national registry because of the highway coming thru. His Rocker is world famous. Jesse, you are in his league. Your craftsmanship on all you build is extraordinary!
