BUILDING A RIH BIKE PART 1
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
RIH was formed in 1921 by the Bustraan brothers in Amsterdam Holland.
The name RIH is for the name of an Arabian stallion ridden by one of the characters in a Karl May novel which was very popular at the time
(and still are in Europe).
RIH's first championship was in 1924 when Jan Hijzelendoorn (a butcher) rode a Bustraan
brothers frame to the sprint and 1 kilometer titles in the Dutch National Champions.
In 1928 the firm moved to its present address in Amsterdam Also in 1928 Willem Bustraan Jr joined the business with his father and Uncle.
In 1948 Wim van der Kaaij joined the RIH business as an apprentice, he is the current owner of RIH
It is estimated that RIH frames have been ridden to over 350 national championships in both road and track events and 63 World-
and Olympic titles.

This way they make 8000 bikes a year.. They deserve a medal 🥉 😉☺️
Building bike frames the old school way and listening to American blues on the sound system...........too cool.
I love to see an artisan at work, a person who loves what he does. I am only concerned that he uses his bare hands in the blasting cabinet, ALWAYS use gauntlets!
The man in the picture, Wim van der Kaaij, passed away at dec 12 2014. He always said: "If God needs a bike-maker, he will call me". Rest in Peace Wim!

No, you can't. You simply can't beat the decades of experience of these guys.
I can build that to...only need the tools...:) I love bikes and I would love to make my own.
I think it is when you heat it up, and then bend it along the iron template..
I did not say I can beat the experience...please read again my affirmation.
