'Centaur In Normandy' - A Simple Diorama
In this video I will explain how I built this simple scenic base featuring a railway/railroad crossing. I really enjoyed making this and as a first proper attempt at a vignette/diorama, I'm pretty happy.

Hello! I found your channel because I was looking for Panzer II builds, as that was going to be my first ever model! Your work on all of these models is incredibly inspiring! I hope your channel has all the success it deserves!that

Thank you, that really means a lot! The Panzer II is a great little kit, it’s so simple and great to build.

My first model was a Matchbox Japanese Zero, I may have to make it again with a modern kit 😊
Great build, thank you for sharing. You're right about the size of the ballast, way too big. Also, unless that is a busy main line section of track I would have expected to see more (some) rust on the tracks. Even rail on a reasonably busy line has rusting.

Thanks for watching. I agree, about the rusting, in the end I settled on only the seats to receive the rusting. It could maybe have done with a rust wash along the actual rail as well.
Don't sweat the small stuff regards bullhead track! Does this diorama scream Normandy? Yes it does! Art remember; it's a suggestion to lead the viewers' thoughts somewhere. If they're worrying about an inaccuracy, they're only there for the cock-slapping.

Hi Tom, this is a great base. It's something different yet, a very real scene. I see a very thoughtful approach to this project and I picked up a few things. Thank you for sharing you skills and hobby mate.

Thank you Michael, that’s nice of you to say so. Believe me, I had to think about the construction process and painting process so many time, I must have built this diorama a hundred times in my head while I was working on it!
