Thanks for your amazing videos. I was wondering, why did you decide to go with Java instead of C++? From what I heard, C++ has less latency due to the absence of the JVM.

Hey there! I’m glad you are enjoying the videos! You are absolutely right, C++ may indeed be a more appropriate choice for latency but we aren’t too concerned about execution time within this system’s strategy - if we were C++ would be at the top of our list.

crypto futures that are traded through the CME are centralized contracts, because of this the contracts tend to have poor liquidity. If you are trying to create an automated system to trade volatility, it will preform poorly due to the lack of limit orders (increased slippage, increased bid-ask spread) within CME crypto futures.

I’m not a big fan of these types of models, they certainly have their place but if I’m taking out a second mortgage I’d run other strategies first

Glad you enjoyed! It does allow the specification of FX pairs for contracts!
