I'm a musician/composer and I love music more than most things, but so many KZreadrs think we need to hear whatever B.S. or even great music to accompany their videos to keep us entertained. I love the sounds of nature, the workshop, the forge, and the whatever sound of progress being made. It's music to my ears and I appreciate you understanding that.

Hello Athos, I have to say that this is a work of art. I could see it's a labour of love, all the way through. I can tell that with all the layers, that this shelter would be pretty warm and dry. You did a fantastic job, love the details, the walls that look like stones, the cool looking chimney and the head design on the front. I was wondering, when is he gonna run outta steam? Ha ha Amazing job my friend!! Bravo!!!!! Love it! ☺👌✌😘 Fawn xo ☺

My question for you is this, do you leave these structures and if so, have you ever gone back to see how they're holding up? I'd like to see a video of visits to previous builds to see how they're doing and how long it's been since you've built them and what kinda weather they've had to endure.

I've always been skeptical of these types of builds. They're impressive and it's interesting to watch them being built, but in owning and maintaining a home myself, it's hard not to recognize how unreliable and short-lived these would be. Leaks, erotion, and wood rot (untreated wood in contact with the somewhat moist gound) wood destroy these builds relatively quickly.

For a more permanent shelter, removing the bark is essential as it is the weakest link between the wood and the clay. I admire both the artistic aspect of this build and agree with the others, inside images would be nice. I love the mock stone entrance and the personalization of the building and can imagine someone coming upon the site years from now. They would be amazed and amused. Wonderful touches. Bravo!

Thanks! I allways wondered why so many ppl leave the bark on the wood and thought, this may be because of some protective layer for the wood in lack of impregnation or something.

I appreciate all the work that has gone into this building, yet in sheer practical terms, the simplest warmest and easiest form of building used for multi generations world wide is the central chimney and fireplace in a round building with sloping roof. corners in any building create lack of air circulation which in turn creates damp and cold areas. Curved buildings create wind and weather resistance.

I I love the look of this, but I am wondering how waterproof it is? I saw a few layers in the roof, but weren't they all mud and sticks? I'd think a couple days' storming would find the inside all wet in short order? Or not? Personally I'd have found some plastic or tarp to layer in the topside somewhere...
