This is a hints and tips video mainly for future reference of an upcoming episode, Modifying Peco Points!!
I'm well aware that times have moved on and my methods may well be out of date, however, this is the only way I know how to do such things! So I'll just carry on in the only way I know how!!

I really like your wire connection across the fishplate joints - so many seem to ignore the issue of expansion, and the issue of fishplate corrosion over time - and this is a great solution I will definitely employ! Thanks!
Just found this. It’s good, nice and clearly explained. Thank you.
Thanks for your latest update, your timing is impeccable. I’ve been putting off starting the wiring up on my track for months. So I’ve no excuses now, looking forward to your next video. Much appreciated
Very useful thankyou. I am planning on changing from using power track to soldering a bus wire and this is the encouragement I needed. Cheers!
First video I’ve watched and already subscribed and liked. I’m looking forward to more guidance so I can assist my buddy in restoring his model railway.
Great to see someone else with similar ideas for the wiring. B&Q has been a gold mine for my layout.👍👍🤔✌️

Ok, but it'll be a week or three when my rebuild gets to that stage.....
Stripping twin and earth with a knife is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! There are special tools available, but if you don't want to buy one, do it this way. Cut a nick in the end of the cable, away from you, above the centre earth wire, for say 1cm, enough to expose the copper wire. Using pliers, long nose ones are best, grip the wire with the end or corner of the pliers, grab the end of the wire with your other hand and simply pull in opposite directions! The earth wire will peel out, slitting the sheath as it goes!
