Great video. But I would like to point out for safety sake to anyone who's looking at this I'm thinking about recreating it Please don't ever allow for the door to swing outward if you live in an area that gets more than about 6" of snow on any given night. You could end up With the snow blocking the door trapping you inside. Always make sure your door swings inward.

I was fascinated from start to finish! Your skill and arm muscles that never seemed to tire are so inspiring. I'm a 70-year old lady, wondering if I can build a simple but sturdy tall bookcase with my power tools and here you use a folding hand saw to cut wood as easily as a knife cuts through butter. The videography was superb and the inclusion of the glorious winter landscape made watching this a pure pleasure. (and I could almost smell that hearty stew).

I like the idea of having a simple home like those tiny homes, but I don't have the stamina and when I did, I was constantly working to support parents when work to save for a car etc. Like the song, "life in the fast lane" can be tiresome." When he is struggling with something there is quick cut and next thing you see its perfectly done... Hmmmmm ... "No modern tool"? There were plenty of modern tools needed to make that house happen. It will be gone in at most a few years, the bricklaying is done with mud, not even clay, so that will compromise the stove very quickly. None of the wood is protected against moisture as far as I see. The insulation is okay at best, but will most likely turn sour and then start to rot pretty quickly as I do not see any actually well-planned barrier to keep out moisture. BUT, I also enjoyed the video, and it does take skill to make something like that. I also do not think that he built it with the intention for it to last very long, but instead more because it's fun and people enjoy watching it being built.

@@lindseyzacek5211 You have serious mental problems. And for the record, I am very much capable of building sculptures out of old electrical cable, painting, and drawing, I am a certified welder who has literally welded on some of the most advanced submarines on earth. I have renovated and rebuilt garages, different kinds of rooms (out of which were two bathrooms, one kitchen, two living rooms, and three bedrooms), rebuilt the outside wooden facade of a house, changed the tiles of a roof and repaired leakage on said roof. Let's see here, what more... Oh yeah, when I was younger I built one real igloo complete with a "cold trap" (if you even know what that is) which coupled with a small candle made it very cozy and pretty warm inside. I am educated in how to read and make architectural drawings and plans of the EU standard. Now let's take the best one for last, I am LITERALLY one year away from being a certified construction worker (specifically a HOUSBUILDER). You though, are a spoiled and dumb woman who has probably never created or built anything of importance in your entire life. It's pretty sad how you, yourself, or KZread deleted your other comment as that one really spoke about how "effed" in the head you are. Edit: I almost forgot, I have also built two pretty nice roundtables and a few stools for family too.

Well, considering gallons of alcohol consumed there it's quite a miracle 😁

Greetings from the U.S., Misha! I hope this finds you safe, Sir. I am a big fan, and have seen many of your videos. I watched your beautiful pup grow to an adult. You, Sir, are THE most skilled carpentry craftsman and artisan I have ever seen, and I work for a Home Improvement company here! My Grandfather was a Master Carpenter. Back in the 1920's he built a 2-story, log home almost completely from timber on his land. He hired some men to help him, and built a saw-mill on the property. Drew out the plans, and hand-built a magnificent weekend retreat in the heart of the Missouri Ozarks, on a hill overlooking a river, The Big Piney. He passed away in 1972, but I was gifted a scale dollhouse model he built for my Mother when she was a child. When I see an artisan like you work so passionately, precisely and purposely, I hearken back to my Grandfather. From watching your videos I can imagine how Grandpa and his crew labored in their efforts without the aid of power tools we now take for granted when tackling a project of that magnitude. Everything, including the final wiring and plumbing, had to be done by hand. Sadly, the home has been lost to the ages. He sold the home and property when my Mom was a young adult, so I never had the opportunity to enjoy his homestead, personally. But I remember all the stories about his barn-full of animals, fly-fishing excursions and family get-togethers there. I also have albums of photos and even home-movies he made there. I pray you and your family are safe and secure, Misha, and this terrible war afflicting your homeland is over soon. Thank you for the memories and insight to how my grandfather's generation actually used their genius and artistic talents to build a work of art, like the ones featured in your videos.
