I love your honesty and transparency. "Yes, this video needs to be out there, so I can continue building my life." Not many creators are brave enough to say that. You have my respect, Kalle. Would love to visit Sweden someday, but now I need money to build my future, so root for me, please. Can't wait for your next video!
This is going to be so peaceful and beautiful to be in the middle of nature

Kalle, it's been such a pleasure discovering your channel. Such a refreshment to see someone not trying to embellish the truth, and portray perfect life, yet a real life with both beauty and struggle. Thank you for creating and sharing with us. 🎬🌲🌲🌲

As a half Swede, it’s nice to hear men having a simple work chats in the woods. Men du behovs Falu korv for lunch! 😀
Hej Kalle! Tusen tack Kalle🙏 "Who dares wins"
A FANTASTIC PLACE to meditate & be creative 🌲🧘🏽♀️
I think what I appreciate most about these videos is the amount of respect you have for everything you touch, from a piece of kindling to the massive beams you’re carrying to the site, from your girls to your partner, from the frigid Ivey cold days to your walks through the forest with blue skies and the pure warmth of the sun. Thank you, again, for sharing. You are showing me how to be more gentle with my environment, wherever that may be.
Thank you Kalle for sharing your videos. I love your content, your easy going outlook and the wonderful location. I struggle with anexiety and depression particularly after my wife's passing not too long ago. It helps to escape for a while watching your videos.
Living the dream Kalle! So Happy for you and Christine
Love your work. It helps to get distracted. How nice to have these kind people that helps to build your project.
I don’t normally comment or like videos, but I think this needs to be spread through KZread like you said. There’s something so peaceful and natural about building a house or cabin in the middle of the woods. I think more people need this inspiration to get out of the city and go be in nature, even if it’s just long enough to build a cabin and stay in it on weekends or just when a getaway is needed. There’s something amazing about having somewhere to escape to for some peace and relaxation. Thanks for sharing this build. The algorithm worked because this is the first time I’ve seen your channel, and I’ll be checking out more!
Kalle, I don't usually leave comments but I found your channel a few days ago and I absolutely love it! You come across as a really down to earth guy who takes pride in their work and that comes across well with the quality of your videos. Your lifestyle is so interesting to watch. I'd love to see you travel to other places where people live like this and capture how they live along with your storytelling skills.
Seeing the A-frame come together is so inspiring! ☺I am excited to see part 2 and also the interior in the end. I think it will be so cozy 🛖🌲✨
My husband and I build our home 40 years ago, before nail guns--hammers only. Since then I've enjoyed watching others build and remember our experiences. Quite the adventure. I enjoy your videos.
Design wise it looks beautiful. Few advices, since I built similar structure recently: 1. OSB is very unstable for torsion and bearing. I find it very unusual to see it as construction element supposed to "carry" weight. I see it is framed but I would definitely reccomend you to add more horizontal strengthening between triangels. For construction (weight bearing elements) beams I usually use pine wood. 2. Your lowest wooden beam is too close to the ground, moisture evaporating from the soil will fasten the rotting effect. I tried to lift it at least 50cm from the ground to allow air to circulate. Also I treated it with several layers of impregnation and paint. You could also just burn it on the outer layer. In my region (e.g. Northern Croatia in hills or mountains) there are wooden buildings 100+ years old, using the burning wood technique. Traditional construction technics can be a great learning source.

If you look into masonite beams you'll find that it's a respected company with well tested products. It will hold i promise. Then if you look into Isak Stålenhag, he is a seasoned lumberjack who also works with restoring old buildings. So i think he's got everything covered!

@@warghem might be, but still, I think it needs to be then supported horizontaly to avoid torsion. Regarding wood being close to the ground, like I said, I think it will shorten longevity of the building significantly. Which is shame, since building looks awsome.
@warghem

@@franesarlija5466 To be clear, i agree with your second point. And i also might want to cover the ground under so that the brush don't grow. Maybe @KalleFlodin kan clear things out for us? Anyways, cool build and i think it's great that you Frane are taking the time to share your skill and knowledge!
@franesarlija5466

@@warghem yes, I covered the ground with geotextile, but air flow is even more important. Since wood would need to dry faster, and avoid being soaked with moisture all the time.
“Plan your work, Work your plan” nicely done… 👍🏻😁
I have always loved the looks of an a-frame.
SO TRANQUIL YET SO INTERESTING
Great video! that must have been so much work, not only all the hard labour to build it and in the snow, but all the filming and editing, great job!

Min man och jag älskar att titta på dina KZreads filmer och drömma lite. Tack!!!
Those first logs looked very heavy. Glad you had help in moving them. Looks like this A-frame is going to be lovely.
At the mark 6:51 I breathed easily knowing that you have help. I cannot imagine working in the freezing cold and within a timeframe. I don't know what time you have given yourself but I'm very excited to see the build and completion. As Fazakas Andrea has said in the comments, we are very happy to see an inspiring and down to earth and honest KZread creator. From some of your interviews with your beautiful wife I have noticed that in everything that you do, from the projects to the lifestyle, you do much for love and for living. I'm here for the journey. Looking forward to seeing the next videos and future interviews! Thank you, Kalle!
Please say you're putting a huge window at the end looking out at the trees because that shot looking through is just dreamy 🙏🏻
How wonderful. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Some of us are living out our dreams thru you! ❤
The way they were all in step when they started carrying the first log.
Amazing! And cooperation is a good thing in construction!
I feel like I am listening to conversations that could have been occurring in Scandanavia back in 800 ad. when I hear you speaking Swedish and hauling those timbers through the snow.
What a process! Beautiful! Please keep us posted!
I loved the little hot dog break on the construction site! 😃
Wow. As a fellow creator I cannot imagine the difficulty of getting all these shots, AND during the middle of winter… in the dark… and the snow… Think of it people. The one clip of him carrying the heavy wooden beam: -set up camera, pick up beam, get the shot -put down beam, move camera, pick up beam (AGAIN) get shot, put beam down -REPEAT😱😱 Huge respect for the monumental effort you put into making high production value videos. Amazing! 🙌🏻🫡
Fab design, I look forward to seeing the space evolve . You're so very lucky to live in a country where land and homes like yours are affordable. Here in the South-East of England, living on land is an impossible dream sadly.
Such a beautiful part of the world you live in. 😊
So beautiful and peaceful
It was so fascinating to watch. I admire your strength and tenacity to do a build like this in the cold and especially the snow. Still it must be just heavenly to be working out there in the fresh air. That moment you paused just to breathe in the cold, I could only imagine how magical that was. It's definitely hard work, but you all make it look easy! You all work together as a team and it's amazing to see this build come together. That drone shot through the A-frame was especially neat. Thank you for sharing all of this, Kalle! 💗💗💗
Let’s do this, I’m going along with you for the ride and I’ll support you as we progress through this journey.
Hi, from New York I’m not a KZreadr, but I read on somebody else’s channel that they advised the KZreadr to make a series of short videos so they could get a light which supported the channel more. Maybe that would help pay for your A-frame I think it’s going to be beautiful. I love the scenery. Good luck.
Commitment and fortitude. Great job in just a few days. “Many hand makes light work”. Thanks for sharing your life.
thank you for sharing your beautiful A frame… i would LOVE to build my own 💜
I stumbled upon your channel recently and I've been hooked ever since. And not sure if it's you or KZread, but the auto translation shows 'thank you' every once in a while and it's just a nice touch 😊 keep the videos coming! 🙌
What an incredible Cabin in the forest 😍
those piers, I'm in love.
My wife said I should watch your video, so glad I did! Looking forward to seeing more.

Bästa film, otroligt inspirerande.
It looks very cold but also so nice to do this work. Good company and good food will get you very far.
I really enjoyed watching this A-frame video. Thank you, Kalle.💖
Kalle, this place looks so cozy, thank you for sharing your journey with us. I can’t wait to watch the next video.
I would love to see you interview Dani Connor Wild. She bought a house in N. Sweden. A photographer who is try to save the indigenous red squirrels. She is just delightful.
Kalle, You and your friends have my awe and admiration for your capacity to endure the frigid winter conditions while doing this construction. Building can challenging even in moderate environments like mine in North Carolina, but while doing it in almost darkness, deep snow and sub freezing temps is amazing. Best wishes!
Thanks for sharing this video. I love how simple the construction seems when properly laid out and planned ahead of time. I love the look and simplicity of the A-Frame house. Keep up the great work and look forward to the continuation of this A-Frame.
Love the a frame design, always wanted one when I was younger.
Kudos for building in the snow!
This a-frame hous looks amazing 🤩
It looks she good and I’m sure it’s going to be a beautiful space. Keep it up. Can’t wait to see it finished. Love and be safe!😘🤗🌼🇻🇪
The cabin looks absolutely stunning. Can't wait for the next video. Jätteduktigt jobbat. Huset ser redan mysigt ut. Tack för videon av en relativt ny prenumerant
Tack för videon Kalle, är taggad på att se fortsättningen!
Good luck with your cabin build!
This is So inspiring. Yes,spread the word.
This is what we needed! Thank you for taking time to make this video 😊
Why is Kalle moving stuff in the dark? Oh right, Sweden in the winter.
Very good footage! I just stumbled upon your channel and I don’t regret it. Kalle, you are a very talented filmmaker! It is obvious that you know something about light, perspective and so on. Very much above average KZread videos. And having seen a few of your videos I started to really like you as a person, too. I don’t share all of your opinions, but you and your girlfriend are honest, decedent people and very likeable. We do live a very different life from the one you are living now, but I see why you do it. And we are currently remodelling an old house so I know about building and what it costs. I‘ve been to Sweden more than once, but never made it north of Uppsala. But you made me curious, so I will put visiting your area on my bucket list. I wish you very good luck with the new cabin and your life in the woods. Greetings from Germany!
Great video and what looks like a wonderful and cosy cabin in the making. I love watching your videos as they are honest and real and you're not trying to paint a picture of a perfect life like many others do. Looking forward to part 2 and seeing the progression of the build. Good luck!
It is so nice to see people coming together to help one another to achieve a goal. Awesome video Kalle! Stay blessed and stay warm!
A-Frames are a pretty cool concept.
It’s so amazing to watch how you guys build this beautiful A-frame cabin in the woods! Can’t wait to see part 2 😍😍😍
Thanks for sharing the process of the building of your A-frame. Hope you keep making more videos of the build because its fascinating to watch.

Kalle! How nice! This A frame cabin is so dreamy!
So glad to finally see this come to fruition! I have a project ahead of me when I get home tonight. My father in Law gave me a deer hide to try tanning so wish me luck with my KZread binging experience and hope I get a nice hide out of it!
