That's a great question, and one she might have difficulty answering since they often get the pack as a separate version of the base game with just the pack. IDK if I'd be testing horses out in Willow Creek if I got early access

@@francis7336 I can't wait to see if you can put a horse in one of the San Myshuno apartments. One of my saves has a snooty farmer, living his best City Farming life. He already has a cow, chickens, bees, and trees in planters inside his historical apartment. The chickens roam up and down the hallway and interact with the mailman, so that's hilarious. But will the horse, sheep, and goats be able to go up and down the elevator? 😂

I would aboslutely love if you could test out arranging jumps in a course instead of just one offs to practice on and see if it works at all fluidly! Same thing with barrels, would love to see if they can be arranged more than just two facing each other or if you can only use them that way.

True! That got me thinking if jumping could be incorporated with the barrels (like Jumping Figure 8 in rodeos/horse shows) but I kinda doubt that

If you did, in fact, have hypothetical access to the new pack, I would love you to address my concern that the pack does not feel full enough to be a complete expansion pack. I would love to see any gameplay not shown off in the live stream, and or anything that makes the gameplay feel as rich as say, the cottage living pack, or even growing together.

Heres a question about to horses!: Can you teach them tricks, almost like the dogs in cats and dogs? I can imagine that being a feature because most horses do seem to be trained for doing tricks

Are small goats and sheep are like chickens in that you need to have an object for them to sleep in? Also, are they customisable in appearance like the horses, cats and dogs or are they more like the animals from Cottage Living?

I am not sure about ponies or even donkeys since they (The Sims) have not advertised a pony model at all in their 3 videos, maybe just have to wait for the mods for that despite children being able to ride and it literally being titled "Horse Ranch"🙃 They did hint in the livestream that the Arabian is the smallest horse breed

The top three things I'm interested in finding out is, 1) Are there unicorns? Real ones, not just dressed up as. 2) Are horses only tied to the new world or can the go/live in the other worlds as well. And 3) Are there interactions between cats/dogs with horses?

Unicorns will be DLC like Pet Stuff was for Cats and Dogs. They missed having special interactions with dogs and werewolves, so I just doubt they will for horses.

The size of the world (12 lots?) seems promising compared to any of the other game packs with new lifestates. Like Vampires, RoM, and Werewolves all had tiny worlds (5ish lots). This pack seems like if the major feature of Island Living was mermaids (instead of that being more of a small bonus feature that was kind of underwhelming in reality). Probably worth it, but only if you're really interested in horses/the new world; otherwise you won't miss out if you skip it. Compare that to the wedding stories GP, which has a decent sized (9 lots) world; even if the weddings/events worked right, no huge new features, mostly just modifications on existing ones. My observation based on what we've all seen. I think the size/depth of the world will make or break whether this pack is worth $40 for me. All expansion worlds have had 11-18 lots (except windenburg, which had 24), and every EP from cottage living on has had 12.

I want to see if the horns they showed off are just accessories or if the pack has unicorns

I don’t think it’s possible for the pack to have actual unicorns at this point. Nowhere in any of the trailers or showcases did they show actual unicorns, which really only points to the horns being a fun accessory to put on the horse

I’m sure you’ll show the world off, but I’d really love to know more about lot sizes, the number of lots, any new lot types or traits, and what, if any, of those town buildings are actually functional, even if it’s just as a rabbithole... I care nothing about the horses (although those mini goats are adorable) but I’m dying for more about the world itself…

I'm sure it's well covered below, but my big concern with the new pack is default household size. Couple of sims, horse each, maybe a foal, dogs, cats, and then you want to add a couple of kids, and...over the limit. I'm hoping we might see an increase to 10 sim household default limit, to make room for growth during gameplay.

Would absolutely LOVE to see a vineyard build!!

I would love to know how much cultral items, cas, ect. Is in the pack. Im exited, because it looks like they added some Native American culture, but im also scared its not alot.

If you watched the livestream, they showed off everything that there is in cas, and the only things I can remember that were indigenous-related were only a few hairstyles and that’s it. Also just in general, cas seemed really lacking for an EP

roots of pacha is a new farming game very much like stardew valley set in prehistory. you can also play multiplayer so you can farm with friends, it's so good and so fun!

Okay, I don't know if anyone else is wanting this, but I'd really love to see if there's any English style competitions and activities within the pack. In the livestream, the Gurus really focused on Western abilities and competitions, so I'd just love to know if it's there.

My family is from South Mississippi, and this build having the kind of grody pond and the mossy roof really reminds me of everything out there. Makes my little swamp goblin heart so happy

I think we'll get a fairies game pack at some point. They've been teasing them almost as much as horses. Maybe not this year, though. The two close expansions might even be leftover effects from COVID shutdowns. We used to usually get two a year, but then it was just one for a while, probably because things slowed down so much during the height of the pandemic. Game packs were more like 1-2 a year, usually just one when there were two EPs that year. We haven't gotten a game pack in just over a year but I'm not 100% ready to declare them dead.

From what I've seen, the mini goats and sheep are like the cows, llamas, and chickens in cottage living except they free roam around your lot. You buy them from a community board and they go into your inventory where you can then place them down. I saw this in one of Fantayzia's video about the pack. Edit: spelling mistake.

I’ve been a passionate horse girlie all my life and I would love to know if the horse competition will actually show us our sims and horses competing or if they’ll just disappear into the competition building like they did in the sims 3. Love you so much Kayla I’m excited to watch you play with the pack 💗🐴

Oh girl this is what I’ve been dreaming of for so long. This is like living out my childhood fantasies in one of my favorite games. I took work off this weekend just so I could play it more with my sister. 😂

For questions (horse girl here😊): 1. when they were skimming through the traits where the descriptions showed up, I noticed that there is going to be a "temperament skill" in which, I assume, the higher the level of the skill is, the calmer the horse. I think that will connect with the Western Pleasure show in the Equestrian Center. Would we be able to train that skill (hopefully), or is it going to be a bulletin board thing? 2a. I don't think they have shown or talked about lessons because even though it is realistic to be thrown off if the sims has no riding skill, I want to see if lessons and skill books are at least available so that can be avoided 2b. If your are friends/best friends with your horse without riding, does that make it less likely for the sim to be thrown off when starting your horse in riding especially if they are untrained (if that's a trait like in Sims 3)? Maybe that should be coupled with riding skill anyway, maybe try both no skill and lvl 5 or even 10? Edit to add: can you see what special traits the newborns will have? 3. Might be an easy answer but will the game let elders ride? Will they let elder horses be ridden like in sims 3? If children can ride and max their motor skills that way, will their riding skill automatically be up to level 5 once they become a teen or would you have to use a cheat if it shows no skill level? 4. Also maybe simple but can horses gallop around in the property? Didn't see much of that in the livestream I believe 5. Will the game let you place 3 barrels in a triangle (like in real barrel racing) or is it only going to be 2 barrels? Can they do barrels alone? (shown in trailer but just would like to see for reassurance) 6. Can you set up jumps in a row? If jumps are in a circle will the horse go through with those jumps in a circle? Can they do jumps alone? 7. Check if Unicorn is a breed since I believe horns were not shown in accessories and they also didn't show all the breeds either.

Can't wait to see the hypothetical early access videos! Usually what helps me decide on buying a pack or not

This is honestly one of the cutest builds Kayla has ever done. I'm obsessed. 😍 Also, seeing the farmland across the lot and knowing that horses were in the code just solidifies my theory that horses were meant to come with Cats & Dogs. It's called Brindleton Bay, so there's also that.

Is thrilled about the ranch release with the horses too. Is looking forward to its release and checking that out. The farm build you did, precious, very nice build. Really like the swamp house, and the name, so shrek inspired! lulz.

I'm so excited about Horse Ranch!! My biggest questions are about the stall item (the horse bed essentially!) - how does it work with doors, can you put a door right against it or does there need to be a one-tile gap, can you place food/water for the horse in/on the edge of the stall item or does that need a one-tile gap ...? Just, how do stables actually work, essentially! Looking forward to seeing you build with the pack for this exact reason - to see what is possible and what isn't (and make plans for my own stables accordingly haha). Thank you!

Same! I've been playing a Stardew challenge where I can only buy flower seeds (but I can get other seeds from rewards, mixed seeds, dungeon drops etc) and it's a surprising amount of fun. All my decor is flower-themed, I've named my cat Rosie, etc... I might allow fruit trees from the second summer

I would love to know more about the goats and sheep, like can you make them in CAS (im guessing thats not gonna happen but) or are they like the cows, chickens, bunnies and llamas from cottage living.
