Building a Double (Jump) on the Trail!

After a long hiatus, it's time to get back to work on Stone Starlet! The trail needs a berm and a double and that's exactly what we're going to build!
The trail has also received some other interesting work and updates from Chris and Bobby while we were away.

    For the rock at the end of the trail, maybe you and some other people can move it further up ahead and then onto the trail, and then make a step-up to flat pad to clear the rock. If not, then maybe you could build some kind of teeter-totter-jump over it. You would be able to ride the teeter-totter normally, but if you had enough speed, you could jump it.

  • @LukeP1

    So here is my suggestion for the rock... If I can see correctly, after You land you have kinda high speed. If You remember Your video posted back in 6.6.2019 called "The PERFECT Place to Improve your BIKE SKILLS! | Black Rock Bike Park, Oregon" there was a really cool, but kinda hard to jump, "step up to woodwork" as I would call it. You even showed it in the video, exactly at 1:11. U could perfectly fit the rock in the gap between the woodwork, even though You would have to move the rock a bit lower iton the trail... So this is all from me and I hope that You will like my suggestion!

  • @rocksolidmtb7971
    @rocksolidmtb79713 жыл бұрын

    Eric. Cool build so far. We like building things with rocks on our videos. Here is my suggestion, which I have given much thought to: Continue a curved ramp from the landing up onto the rock, leaving enough of a lip to clearly show riders that they are popping up on to the top of the rock. The ramp up would have the same curvy flow as the trail before the lip jump. Once on the rock, you would still have enough speed to huck off heading slightly down the hill again, then repeat the banked curve that you built after the log jump. ....This would create a unique use of the rock without destroying the identity and flow of that section of trail. .....Just my thoughts

    You could use it as a steep drop of roll in. Or mabey a rock garden or a sperate line to drop of jump You could make a 3-way line with the rock in the middle Or make the rock into a skinny line You coulf make the rock into a diagonal shute line. A sperate line which could be a skinny with a teter totter Or mabey a memorable rock you could make a jump to clear Have it in the middle of a jump and could do a nose bonk on it like brandon semeuk did. could surprise us and do a double black feature with it. You could make a smooth rock garden with it if you know what that is(pretty rare feature)

  • @aaronserrano5968
    @aaronserrano59683 жыл бұрын

    For that rock you can put a wooden ramp up it. The ramp will continue up on the other side of the rock to whatever height you see fit. You can then build either a steep roll or a drop kind of like the ones in Squamish, BC. The ones where you roll down a super steep rock then drop onto a landing, you know what I'm talking about?..... but that's just my suggestion... anyway good luck with the trail.. :)

They provide good alternate line choices build the trail so it goes next to it with a roller if you bypass the rock and the berm if you go over the rock and then use the stumps as biodegradable rollers. And then he was The Rock itself as the backbone of a table top.

Looks sick thoigh i cant wait till the trails done and we can travel again to ride it.
