Building a DIY Off-Grid Cabin | START TO FINISH

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Last year I was able to convince a group of buddies to buy a property in SE Oklahoma (we aptly refer to as "Pine Ridge") and improve the land from a wildlife and outdoorsman perspective. This is the story of us building a 100% off-grid cabin, completely DIY, 45 minutes from the closet county road!
Hope you enjoy, this was an incredibly educational process! From starting with only trees on the property, to the dozer work, to an actual building (an oasis in the middle of a Pine and Oak ocean), I can honestly say this was an extremely gratifying venture and I couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome.
I only wish we could have documented more of the journey, but we will do better on the next one at explaining and relaying each step in more detail.

You realize your in Huricain Ally right ? Dig root shelter for safety. Nice 400 acres, and plenty of vested help.

Well it looks like we are doing basically the same thing here. I know you got to be kinda close. We are off State Highway 2, and a few miles south of Clayton, OK. Nice to say county road is on our front side and a mile from the State Highway. Had a John Deere come out a few times since last May. Shed coming in from Graceland Portable Buildings soon. Mine is throw a guy in Atoka, OK. Sounds like you guys are ahead of the curve here. Many Deer roaming around since it is the Deer Capital of the US. just south of us in Antlers, OK. Keep the videos coming...

The coffins are to deep for the sand you have. The sun won't leach properly with the tops below 8 to 12 inches. 1 run of the 6' 6 " coffins. The ground clay won't observe the waste water. Did you do a perk test ?

It's in the middle of no where, so I doubt if a perk test was done. It's not like there's neighbors next door. I'm not sure about Oklahoma, but in Arkansas, this far away from everyone, no perk test required.
