It makes perfect sense. Power to get up the hill quicker and descend more. Plus the extra weight can be both fun and practical too.

Neil, if you go into the shimano App the bar remote switches can be reassigned so they're the right way up and down

Honestly makes perfect sense - doesn't pretend to be anything else and this is 100% of the riding I see Eebs do in the UK anyway - crank it up hills as quick as possible to get to those DH sections!

Really cool to see you make the modifications and pull this off. This might be a fun winter project for me. One thing for people to keep in mind is the 20mm axle on a dh fork. They make step down adjusters to 15 so you can use the wheel set it comes with.

Also Neil, if you are using the original wheels (I know you weren't) you can't as the twin crown forks use a bigger diameter axle. Great vid and perfect uplift free DH bike 👌

Great choice! Done nearly the same with my Scott Ransom eride. Öhlins DH 38 fork with 200mm and nearly no change in geometry. Love it.

a real downhill weapon you have created Neil! im slowly copying all the components youve added 😁 that is the only problem with the torque:ON, cockpit cables are a nightmare. especially the way they are routed through headset bearings. one thing i have added to mine is the switchgrade adjustable saddle and its amazing, probably my favourite upgrade so far. comes in handy going up and down the wrekin 🤟

Cool build Neil,I believe you can change the control pod button orientation on the shimano app. I ride my torque on cf8 at Oakridge, no shuttle needed. Such a great rig

Makes perfect sense to me, however, I don’t think I could stand the noise of the Shimano motor on that bike clacking away the entire ride. That is why I ride one of the original Full Fat (Full Power) “downhill” type e-bikes, which is the 2020 Kenevo Expert with the factory boxxer triple clamp and 180mm travel Front and Rear. No motor clacking! The Kenevo Expert can easily run as a full 29er, or full 27.5 (factory set up) or mullet set up with minor component swaps no worries. Only a 700 Wh battery on the Kenevo Expert but have ridden over 25 miles and 4000 feet of climbing no problem with two red bars left. Check out Rob Rides videos on his Full Fat 29er Kenevo Expert. Also check out Marshall Mullen with his 200 mm travel Boxxer Kenevo Expert.

I wanted to do this to my Norco Range VLT because that's exactly how I use it - a DH bike that can shuttle itself. One issue I ran into is that the head tube is the new 1.5 to 1.8" taper standard, which so fat that I can't install a dual crown fork, as my steering lock would be like 15 degrees.

Cane Creek helped solve my crown race dilemma with a DH fork, pretty quick.

Run my kenevo in similar form. Be nice to see 200 front and rear e-bikes. I feel like e-bikes need that amount of travel for rough dh terrain and for the weight of them. Obviously horses for courses its not going to suit all trails but its what id personally spend my dollars on

I got a Range VLT with 900wh. It’s not a dual crown, but i converted the fork with a coil and it is a pretty burly set up and it serve the same purpose… thats my ki d of riding

How's the balance now you've upped the front travel? My KSL is currently being built with the new 40s at 190mm to keep geo with an over stoked rear DHX2 for 180 rear. Also using a cascade eyelet on the coil and made it a mullet whilst also keeping geo. Can't wait to ride it. Fort bill this weekens 😎
