Building a Better Grain Mill
Ғылым және технология
The grain mill, one of my most popular projects on this channel, left a lot to be desired. Not wanting to leave everyone hanging, including me, I decided to improve the design and build another one. Here it is with a more simple one-piece housing design, smaller rollers, gear drive, and much more. Later in the video we test it with some hard red wheat, and einkorn berries.

To me, the best part is that you have a mill in the first place and that you know how to use it! Great build, nice to see the details and the results!
Working a lot better than the original, nice job. I used to have a knurling tool, but a couple weeks of antibiotics cleared it right up
That’s bad ass! One thing I recommend is to build a notch or add slide outs to the hopper with a pop pin to lock in place. That way you eliminate the Allen screws for swapping out rollers. 👍
Great video! Love to see new videos from y’all
Pretty cool upgrade! You're discovering food processing machines design standards on your own haha. Best thing you can do to make a food processing machine more hygienic is to make all surfaces that are in contact with food from a non-corrosive material such as stainless steel, lowering the number of bolts and fasteners/using welding instead and minimizing voids where food can accumulate. There's more info on standards in the U.S. 21 CFR Part 110 and EHEDG Guidelines DOC 8 if you're interested. I think they're available free online. Well done!
Nice video bro 👌
Wow i love your work
There's no way I could afford the machinery necessary to build this and I don't know how to use them anyway. Have you given any thought to having your design manufactured and making the mill available for purchase? It looks like a useful device.
Good work buddy, I made a hand cranked one out of wood with just the rollers in steel. I find it very difficult to set the gap, I hand cut the knurl, it makes better flour than rolled oats. I have to get it out and try it again.

I eventually want to build one that can make flour, are you saying it can be done with this one?

@@greensnmachines I'll have to pull mine out and try it again to see what it can do. If I recall it kinda shredded the grain rather than rolling, but it wasn't geared together so one roller would slip.
Are you some kind of Grainologist... :D
Pls i was looking youfor long time But i want to see lentils and beans peeling machine
One craftsmanship is better than the machine that you made, which has many mistakes
Not perfect. Every time have change roller.
