Hi Abir, can you tell me whether I can add or delete any files from the GitHub project that I have submitted for MLH after my application has been shortlisted and I have been called for interview? Do they check if anything has been modified from the initial submission?

hey is the programs changed as i was going to apply and just found that instead of explorer and externship there is software engineering and production engineering pls help .

Can we change the track from open source to externship in starting? And also can we change from ml to Android? Like my project that i submitted for interview is based on ml

That's what I can't do. Sharing exact answers won't be fruitful. But I tried sharing all the ideas in video, which will help to bring your own original answer. Hope it works All the best.!

Can't do anything much. There are a bulk of them. You can try asking in the discord server of MLH, to get more info on this.

Hello Abir, I want to ask that; me and my friend are working on the web development project. He is designing the frontend of the project, and I am developing the backend. And we both want to apply for the MLH summer fellowship "Summer A 2023," which starts on May 30, 2023. Can we both submit the same project during our application, or do we need to create and submit different projects?

Which one is easier to get into OPEN-SOURCE track or explorer track ? Since you said Experienced contributers and GSOCers have been rejected which has a lower bar for selection ? I have done web dev and have basic projects in HTML CSS JAVASCRIPT and node.js

"Depends on your technical proficiency." If you have major production code contributions in past to an impactful open source organization, you can talk about it.

@@AbirPalDevthank you Abir for quick response..... tbh honest if feel like noob cause I just made basic Projects (they are not feature rich)and I don't have any experience in contributing to open source So should I rather apply for explorer track is the bar lower for EXPLORER TRACK than OPEN SOURCE track ?

@@muatasimahmed2343 If you feel like that honestly... Try to work on yourself this summer...Build some cli tools, do some language speicifc magical stuff... And there you go.

That's great of course you get to learn a hell lot of new things and did you get any stipend? Or if anyone wants then what's the method? Don't worry I'm not doing it for sake of stipend but I just want to know :).

One more thing if MLH has changed their procedure because until last day I was able to find explorer programs. But now when I head over to submit my application the explorer programs date has changed and some new programs have been added. Are there any new changes?

@@YogeshKumar-px5bd yes the programs have been re-engineered for a better cause. But most of the things I said in the video, remains applicable to those tracks too.
