That's a good question! The design of both halves utilizes an incredibly strong 4-point magnet setup and the machining of the part has an interlocking design, but we can't say whether or not it is 100% waterproof. We'd assume that it's just as waterproof as the factory setup, but we'll reach out to Geiser for the official word!

Krx 1000 comes with most of that stuff that want cast you out the ass ....
