Video presenting the construction of a remote control excavator.
WARNING. It is not a DIY, it is an example of construction, I am not a professional. I just want to share the making of a compact RC excavator.
The excavator will be semi-scale, so not 100% identical to the real model, some parts are adapted according to the constraints of the scale model.

@@r.ccustomtruckingsydneyaus4632 Thanks. But lesu or other model producer have better quality parts, mine is hand made, no precision, they are much detailled and cheaper. Working in Switzerland and competing with the Chinese, is impossible.

Helemaal te gek! I enjoyed this just as much the second time! It is a bit trippy to look at your scale thumbnails next to letsdig or camarata excavator thumbnails on my you tube home page. I will never look at full scale the same again! Love it.

hello beautiful project, congratulations. Is the square tube aluminum or metal? thanks for your answer

Thanks. It's steel
Amazing work man! Is there a reason you picked electric pistons over hydraulic for the blade? Are you going to use those for the entire build or just the blade only?
@BartsteRCModels
3 жыл бұрын
For blade only. Each system, electric and hydraulic have their pros and cons. For this project, electric cylinders works fine, with the cover and after the paint, they will be well integrated. They have internal end cut and need only one mini esc for work. No problem of hydraulic slipring (space) and less expenssive. They hold position under extrem condition of working.

Amazing! Are you using soldering iron to solder iron parts? What kind of solder?
@BartsteRCModels

I use tin on steel parts
Waiting for next part 3
Excellent job my friend. You have a great range of machinery to use. What solder are you using to join the steel components?
@BartsteRCModels
3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, tin solder
@Rimrock300
3 жыл бұрын
When steel is involved I always use solder that contains lead, Pb, typically named for example 63Sn37Pb. For use on water pipes, copper, there is the solder without Pb, but it's does not work that great for steel IMO. Roughing the steel with some sandpaper also helps in getting the solder stick better. In addition I put on flux solvent on the surfaces (even if the solder contains flux), to make the solder float even better. Most critical when it's steel to steel. When steel to brass not so critical with extra flux.
I love this stuff but when you solder things that small does it actually hold together ?
@BartsteRCModels
3 жыл бұрын
yes no problem for this scale.

@@BartsteRCModels you do some amazing work I’ve been watching for a couple years now and I’ve always loved rc heavy equipment I love running the real thing but you can always do that
Very impresive. This soldered parts are strong enought? I know zinked steel is possible to soldering but normal one?
@BartsteRCModels
3 жыл бұрын
Yes strong for that use and this scale. Tin solder is great with low temperatur and low deformation. For stronger you can use silver solder, but you have to heat a lot harder. Yes it's normal steel, need to be cleaned for prevent rust.
@adikx5
3 жыл бұрын
@@BartsteRCModels I didn't know that. I soldered only brass and zinked steel :) I will try it. Thank you for tips

Tracks are from bruder, they are plastic, but can be remplaced by the spare parts from Huina it metal and exactly the same size.
