G-d bless you for understanding and evoking the poetic agony, love and longing of this song. This is on a par with a magnificent version of "With a little help from my friends" done by an English artist in 1969. That guy's name escapes me, like all good things eventually escape me

i love his voice! nobody get mad but his voice is like a mashup of blink 182 and mumford and sons, kinda gravelly/folky with a dash of good ol' fashion garage band passion

The original is so upbeat that you don't realize how depressing it really is.

I love this cover because it's so much more appropriate in tone than the original, but my pesky brain keeps adding in the perky "Ooo-ooo-ooo!" choruses.

The original is my favourite song ever... Love Frank's unique spin on it, it's really good. I wouldn't go as far to say better than the original, but by god, it's up there!

IMHO, this cover is far and away better than the original ever was based purely on the emotional response invoked by the artist. Sure, the original was a wonderful song and conjured up many fine memories of my childhood. Happy, bouncy, upbeat - it harkens to the carefree days of my youth hanging out with my friends by the river in the late summer sun. But in my adolescence, I never delved deeply into the lyrics or their true meanings...

I love you Frank.

Okay, this is in no way, shape, or form better than the original. To say that shows ignorance, and I'm sure artists of his caliber would agree. A cover can never be BETTER than an original. Why? Because without the original, the cover would never exist.

No, it is people like YOU who make the "Earth a worse place to live". He stated his OPINION. You cannot label an Opinion "Stupid Logic". I also believe the Original to be Much better than this cover--Turner's cover is Gaunt, and overly drawn out--but still a decent cover. And NO, that's not like saying "the first computer is better than newer models". That may be the worst analogy I've ever heard. I'm a Musician of 12 years; go ahead, try and tell me my opinion is "wrong"
