I love the idea of this but to get the panels shipped to the uk is almost $140 for 6 panels making it over $205 surely it won’t cost anything like that to ship to the UK

12v WS2811 Bullet Pixels 100 count xConnect ends. Truly, what you get may depend on what pixel controller you go with, etc, but this type of pixel is one of the most common and most often is what I recommend.

Hey! Nice video! I was wondering if you can use these lights with a dmx controller such as the Enttec Dmxis? I'm not sure to understand how you connect them to your lighting console. Thanks a lot!

It's too many channels for DMXis - however ENTTEC's ELM is a great "mediator" between the 2: kzread.info/dash/bejne/pqiMuMunZ9HHiJM.html

Which pixel controller do I need for 6 panels?

  • @pointsourceproductions

Looks like the pixels come in sets of 50 or 100 and the panels are for 168 pixels. Did you fill every slot? I'm also very interested in how the pixels hook up to the pixel controller and how that gets DMX. I have a Chauvet X-Net II 8-channel node and would love to be able to take my universes from there into whatever control device, but I don't know what all those connections look like.

Yes, I filled every slot and cut off the remaining pixels. You can do this with pixels :) It's a whole new world! This will give you some more info into pixels: kzread.info/dash/bejne/d3mXr9CQgtuddaw.html And there is also a whole lot more inside of Learn Stage Lighting Labs :) You actually won't need the Net-X as pixel controller's take sACN or Art-Net directly. So it will just be a straight network cable from your console to your pixel controller (just like how you hook up the net-x). Of course, like all networking things, there are different ways to set things up depending on your needs and end goals. Thanks!, -David
