I didn't mention in this video but using a wider grip than your shoulders for push ups also better stimulate your chest. Good luck! 이번 영상에서는 언급하진 않았지만 어깨보다 좀 더 넓게 그립을 잡고 푸쉬업을 해도 가슴에 자극에 좀 더 옵니다. 즐운 하세요!

Hey Dan I would love to see an L-sit to handstand tutorial with progressions. Especially finding the right exercises to train for this seems challenging. All I do is train negatives, meaning coming slowly down from handstand to the ground.

I realized that at the top of the range of motion for your push ups, you tend to have a little big more of a protraction of the scapula. I've been reading that we should try and remain a locked retracted scapula when doing push ups, to allow the chest to do the work. I truly love and respect what you're doing, would like to understand a bit more regarding this.

Would you ever consider posting a full video of raw training footage with no music and no transitions? I think it would be awesome to see just the natural struggle when doing reps and sets, like to really see that even pro athletes like yourself getting tired and pushing through the pain ( Mechanical failure fo course :D ). Probably motivates us even more! Just a suggestion.

Korg I experienced myself with such symptom, what I did was scaled the push-up and dip exercise the progression to the easiest level that was tolerable. If the pain was too much, chest and shoulder day was a no-no. In the meantime, really stretch out the pecs and shoulders and work on t-spine mobility and rotations. Once things seem to improve, incorporate chest workouts again.

Also- I am not a medical professional and cannot provide an essential treatment plan because each person experiences the pain differently. From my experience and looking around on the web and the exercises I experimented with. It is sort of your body telling you something isn't right with the particular exercise. Pushups and dips are not the problem but really rest out the injury first before restarting. Going slow is better than not doing anything at all.

@@TheFxEditor Yeah i see what you mean! I'm stretching and foam rolling the upper back and using a hit-ball to complement it. Going to call my doctor and get an MRI-scan to see if it's any torn ligaments, and then bring the pictures to a physiotherapist. The pain in the shoulders resmbles that of tendonitis, and the chest resembles costochondritis. I also feel the pain in bothmy shoulders and chest when doing ring-dips for some reason. Thanks for the reply though! :)

Gymnasts do push-ups with protracted scapula because it works their shoulders and triceps for transferability to planche and handstand push-ups. This is why all the gymnast bodies you see have huge shoulders and arms and tiny chests. If you're just interested in doing bodyweight exercises for aesthetics, you have to do some push-ups with retracted scapula to build the chest.
