In this video I show you how to make a simple screen door over the course of 2 days. this screen door not only looks good, but will last you a lifetime.
I used mortis an tenon construction on the frame and made the panel on the table saw.
I finished the door with some outdoor oil.

Cool video! FYI, Rails are the horizontal pieces, stiles are the vertical pieces. :)

HAHAHAHAHHA Hey that I could do!!! Love your work buddy! Honestly love the detail in the video. I've learned a lot from watching you. Appreciate it!
Was watching this in my garage shop with planes flying overhead when a plane went overhead in your shop. Threw me for a loop. Thanks for the build video! Any changes you'd make at this point?

No changes. It’s a great door. Still going strong.
Thanks for the vid, I'm going to try making a wood storm door, because my house is... "Special" and requires a $400 custom sized door, and it's a crappy door at that. So time to do it my self!

Squaring wood can be so painful, especially if your tools suck or aren’t calibrated, or to small....Ive learned that over years of squaring

William Paquet no worries. Thanks for supporting me.
I'm not sure I trust a guy who doesn't know the simple difference between a rail and a stile.

I think you can make it yourself, just loook and learn from woodprix .

@@Santamonicadrainco That's such an odd view. What fun is something that doesn't?

@@Philrcyou get to make a new one. Beyond that, many of the metal doors are ... Flimsy and break anyway. Why not use a (hopefully sustainably harvested) renewable material

@@polerin a good solid aluminum frame is not flimsy nor does it break apart unless it's been made VERY badly. But look my comment is 4 years old. What I really think is that people should just get the door they want. If they want a wooden door, get a wooden door.

@@Philrc oh I know, not trying to necro an old comment to fight, just like to leave comments on old videos that are good so they'll show up for other people. More fun to just chat it out y'know? :)
I checked a lot of handbooks with woodworking plans. Instructions from woodprix are the best I think.
