I must say that you are super humble in the comments, underlining your self the weak points of the project. My first reaction was, interesting building, but just for the sake to try something different, is so not practical and neither is going to be effective the result. Then I read a bunch of comment and is so clear that you are aware of it and have a good knowledge of materials and possibilities. First time a youtuber convinced me to subscribe for how comments on his videos. Keep it up.

+Max Brunner ich hatte vor 4x4 mm Pappel zu nehmen , mein letztes Board hatte ich mit Glasfaser dafür aber 3x4 mm Holz geht das ?

hey man, god job... a question, what measurements did gou use on the longboard base ????

La même chose que Cr4zY x Scorpio, tes vidéos sont vraiment bien, et le travail pour le longboard aussi ! Pour une planche normalement y'a pas plusieurs couches posées les unes sur les autres? Enfin c'est pas grave continu comme ça ;)

Not only will that goose neck snap the board will split along the glue line or the grain of timber lengthways.

lovely build, board looks nice but how do it hold up in the joints? i really like the outcome!!

It is said that wood glue is stronger than most woods therefor I am more afraid the pine wood will split than the joints... If I were to build another one I would probably insert dowels or some kind of tong and groove joint. 😁

La vidéo date un peu mais je te laisse quand même un commentaire. Ton montage est vraiment super et très bien calmé avec la musique ! PS : Sais tu combien fait l'épaisseur d'une longboard pintail ? Et est ce que les fabricants utilise du vernis ou de la peinture pour faire comme si il y avait 2 bois comme sur ta board ( même si toi tu as bien pris 2 bois différents ) ? Merci d'avance et j'espère que tu liras se commentaire !

+Richard Bastien l'épaisseur dépend du bois que l'on utilise mais aussi des renforts (fibre de verre, carbone) par conséquent ce n'est pas une valeur sûre, mais pour une long board totalement en bois c'est de l'ordre de 12mm. Il est très probable qu'ils utilisent tout simplement deux essences de bois...

Très belle longboard même si elle risque de bouger avec le temps, ça reste du massif La vidéo ressemblait un peu trop à un stronboscope à des moment trop d'accélérer mais sinon bien jouer

is it ok to jump in that board? becuase wood glue can't handle too much force right? or the wood glue is strong. If i am gonna make that kind of technique i will put some nails xD

+Emmanuel Esguerra il is more probable that the wood may break than the glue joints them selfs, if you'r bot convinced, add some dowels or try another type of joint :)

The hard wood is IP (darker color) and the soft wood is pine (lighter color) as long as you alternate hard and soft wood it should work 😉

Indeed I have built longboards the conventional way in the past but unfortunatly with the lack of baltic birch plywood in France I wanted to try something that I had never seen a longboard built this way. I think that in order to emproove the strength of the longboard it would have been better to use a stronger joint between the logitudinal boards (butjoints aren't the strongest). The board rides pretty well fir crusing around but it's less than ideal for making rapid turns for the very same reasons you explained...

Yes I have been told that mapple would be good but I don't like to buy wood I prefer to reuse / upcycle it... Any way if I come by a couple of good mapple boards I will defenetly make a board out of it in a much different matter as this one 😎

+VidclemProd there's a reason for thin plys of maple/birch/poplar/fiberglass...the reason is flex and strength...i wouldn't boneless or caveman on that, the wood has to be of the hardwood family, and even they will shear if to much torque is applied, nice looking though dude!
