I'm loving all of these dolly and camera rig builds. When it comes to random props, you really can only use them once or twice. With camera rigs and tips related to them, you can apply them to any project you make.

Built this today. Works pretty well. Couldn't find any T-Shaped snap T's at my local hardware so I used a Slip T with female threads and used a male threaded plug. Worked great. Took a little extra time because of this but it turned out very good. I was able to do mine for around under $10 with the same materials as in the video.

I'd actually love for see more camera camera mounts. These are extremely helpful because videos should consist of more than 1 type of shot. A car / motorcycle / bicylce mount would be perfect, so if you guys could build that, I'd really appreciate it. So, Indy Mogul crew, if you read this, build more camera mounts, that would be fantastic! Thanks, guys! i love the videos!

Great build. Fave tracking/dolly/moving shot(s): John Connor and Uncle Bob talking about where John's Mama went and comeing to the realization she's gonna' blow Miles away in T2. Second is the Hot Fuzz Michael Bay homage/rip-off shot of Angle and Butterman standing as the camera dollies around them. Third is Sean Bean saying "This is no mine, it's a tomb" from Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

The 3/4' hinge joint is actually one size up from the 1/2' size pipe, which allowed Zach to easily attach and unattach the main sliding part from rails (so that the pieces of felt could be adjusted. I happen to know about the hinge joint because I know of a tutorial from The Frugal Filmmaker that he uses it (the 1/2' hinge for a 1/2' piece of piping) for one of his projects.

For screwing on the pipes: Either cut out or drill out a bit on top of the pipe so that you're only screwing through the "bottom" bit of the pipe. That should avoid "squeezing" the pipe ends and therefore eliminate the "bending up".

Yes, you´re right. Indy Mogul has forgot presented in his video no diameters of plastic of used tubes and T-splitters and how his made adjusted ones! I´m working on the slider like this, but I´m using clips (into a wall) instead a T-splitters. The clips are with large diameter, but I´ll stiffen - steal them with strips ofcardboard or another suitable materials. And I´m shooting the video during my work on it (about it).

Awesome PacMan shirt AWESOME gear build! The bowing could have been from the screws threads. Next time use bolts and nuts with slightly larger pre-drilled holes. Overall I am super impressed with the build. You are spot on with the compactness and usability! Awesome looking test film! The drama is a bold move. I still think it'll have a comic twist, but I would love to be surprised. Easily your best ep yet Zack, great addition to overall Indy Mogul builds. Hidden blades are dumb ;)

Did you ever think about making Ezio's (from assassin's creed) hidden gun. My instruction are: first buy a nerf secret strike (i got mine from target), then take a splint and strap in the gun with straps on it to the splint, after that, take an authentic assassin's creed blade and put it under the gun (You can also spray paint the it). If you end up creating this, thanks so much, i am a big fan!

When buying the Tees run your finger through the inside to make sure they don't have stops (ridges). His Tees were strange in that they had plugs already in them. Buy the regular Tees and some plugs and glue them in first.

great video, awesome production skills. Just want to make a point on table saw safety. you should use the miter gauge when making the crosscut you made. it would support the board making it less likely to catch the back of the blade, spinning the board and fingers in to the blade. like I said, nice work. Just don't want some young film maker to get hurt. peace!
