A million+ views. I am humbled. I should mention I wrote a book on this exact subject: Arcade building with the raspberry pi: www.amazon.com/Raspberry-Pi-Retro-Gaming-Consoles/dp/1484251520/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=1484251520&qid=1583455076&sr=8-1

Does this book teach you step by step or is it just a general read on what can be made?
I have to be completely honest, no BS, this was the most informative video I have watch on KZread in last 4 years. What a great straight forward instruction. You answered my questions about building a cabinet, and setting up everything.
Impressive. I love that you show everything in so much detail. Everything about this cabinet, from the artwork to the hardware to the software looks so nice. My first arcade machine project started out as a full size stand-up machine with a raspberry pi running retropie, just like yours. But then, I upgraded the machine to use a windows 7 PC, but I still use retropie to this day for home console projects and the like.
This was really awesome. Very inspiring and I thank you for all the information you have shared!
You give a great delivery of info. Straight to the point. It’s all about taking the initiative to build one. 👏
This sorta thing impresses me to no end. Pretty brilliant. Wow
Your passion and DIY ability is just beyond described and only a video can tell that story
Effort gone into this build and this video deserves props! Well done my man looks sickkkkkk!
Perhaps one of the most complete videos I've seen. A really high quality finish throughout. Really impressed :)
Awesome video, straight to the point in all matters, made my day. Thanks.
This is a really nice build man. I wish I could still do all that wiring and soldering. I would love to build a cabinet. But those are the breaks when you lose most of your sight. Cheers from Australia.
This is a piece of art. Congratulations
6 years later I am watching this video for the first time. Thanks for the information. I have a number of Harbor Freight clamps in my woodshop and just like in this video, a lot of them still have the tag on them for some reason.

no shame cast here.
You are a freaking beast. Thank you so much. You made my kids Christmas a guarantee this year.
I watched the whole thing. I'm prob not gonna attempt to make an arcade cabinet, but dayeemn. I'm impressed. Subscribing.
That orbital sander technique was magnificent.
This is literally artwork. Beautiful stuff man.
Wow, I'm kind of blown away. Very cool little project, super results, packed full of great information. Looks like you've made it easy to build your own too with your website kits. Awesome work Ryan!
Great build! Great video! Thanks for sharing this with the Pi community. 🙏
This was truly amazing to watch! Thank you for sharing. I will be starting on my own as soon as I can!
Fantastic video mate...great info
Wish I had the skill to do this. I am truly staggered by this video and your know-how. Been playing arcade games since, forever, and always wanted a home arcade [ a proper one I mean]. Watching you do this is just breathtaking.
At the beginning i thought you were over engineering things but at the end i realize how easy would be to service that machine, excellent job and will take it as an example, thank you for such great material.
Dude. This video really makes me want to start a cabinet building business. My mind is going crazy right now. You make this look like something that I can actually do! Thank you.
Well done, man. Build looks great. Thanks for the help!
Tape measures are designed that way on purpose, it's not an error. It is to account for the thickness of the metal tab at the end. If you are measuring an inside corner with the metal bracket pressed up against something, the measurement is correct. If you're measuring from outside, it adjusts to allow an accurate measurement not counting the thickness of the metal bracket itself.

That is a hell of a good monitor for arcade machines, it's what I use in mine. The color is great, the viewing angle is great and it isn't widescreen! Any time I see this monitor at a thrift store I pick it up as a spare.
Enjoyed watching your video Ryan! Really well detailed and explained and it's a beautiful cabinet!
Thank you for making this. Amazing build.
Very helpful. I want to build a cabinet but much larger sized for my retro consoles. Thanks for the breakdown.
Im sure you've heard it all before but I just had to say this is amazingly beautiful work, you've motivated me to give something like this a go
one of the best video on building an arcade machine. thanks for sharing
Absolutely awesome. I would love to do something like this in the future.
Such Beautiful work of art!
Absolutely beautiful work. I'm so impressed. I just don't have these skills, but I'd love to feel that elation of building such a nice piece of work. Great video.
Outstanding - as ever! Really must get round to making one of those myself one of these days.
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
You gotta be proud of that. Great work. 👏
This was an amazing video. Thanks so much for all the great information.
I'll not make one soon, but I sure watched this video till the end. I really liked the way you explain the stuff and things, amazing job!
Very Nice Thanks for taking the time to share with us...
This is incredible ... you did an awesome job. I’m encouraged to build one with custom cut pieces
Absolutely amazing, you are a real talented guy and an inspiration that it can be done.
Really Badass, thank you for sharing all this!
Nice work. Looks great
You have considerable skills my friend
I need to save this video and set up my own arcade once I got a job. I will definitely try this out.

really great work and very inspirational at the same time :) good job!
Dude you are a freaking genius, many folks would not have the patience for this. You should make them to order and sell them.
My god i wish I had talent like this. Im stuck with just a boring Rasberry Pi hooked to my tv. haha. loved the video.
Awesome stuff, Ryan.
Also always wanted to thank you for the video it was very informative and I enjoyed watching it

omfg this looks really hard and to think i wanted to do this. props to this guy it is very impressing and i dont think just anyone would be able to do it great vid ima drop a like.
the wiggely part of your tape mesure is not an error, but wiggles the same as the thikness of the "hook", so it will show the correct number if you put it against a surface or over an egde.

...professionals never take into fact the slack in the clip edge contrary to popular belief, we always use 1 as our beginning measurement and then subtract 1 in the over all measurement , that's were the term measure twice cut once comes from....to many mistakes over a distance happen when one uses the slack at the clip edge.
Great project!
congratulations yes beautiful arcade
Very impressive, sir.
I love my Retropie!!! All the games on mostly all systems!
Great work!
very beautiful your arcade. and I really enjoyed your tutorial
great job! very neat
mine is nearly finished :) great job!!
excellent work
fantastic looks really great!
such joy to behold this video
Very nice work.
That "jiggly" part of your tapemeasure is actually useful and makes it acurate. The jiggle accounts for the thickness of the tape hook when measuring both inside or outside dimensions..
Awesome job!!
Came up sick mate
Great project
Your enthusiasm is underplaying this lol, this is awesome. Really good designing and implementation
Very good tutorial, i already did alot of this on my own, regarding programming the pi with retropi, in my case ontop of other os debian, and elec. Cool idea, i might consider making a arcade machine. Thanks!
Nice tools for fabricating this build! I was once 20 something and had time, but no money for stuff like this. Now, I'm 40 something with a family and have money, but no time! LOL!
Great work
Good build! 👌
