Awesome review, and these are actually really good cars, especially on the used Market. They are rated as having near-perfect reliability, they look up market, and still look fresh today

I know the video is from 2012, however, I just watched it now in 2018. Such a great video and so much fun to watch. Kudos to you Emme. I might even watch it again and again. Love the quiet ride of the Verano which is what I am looking for.

You shouldnt underestimate this car. It was a finalist in the motortrend car of the year competition. Its about the last segment i would shop but at least i can see myself recommending this

Obviously all of the people who are critical of this vehicle in these comments have never seen this in person. The Verano is quite a remarkable car. Looks, technology are really nice and it is quite refined. It seems we still have a bunch of American car manufacturer haters in this audience. Grow up, support your country and by American. Its not the 80's.

David, you are 100% correct. We aren't living in the year 1990. This is 2012. There are truly no bad cars these days. There are only degrees of good and very good. Cars compete more at the system level or feature level. For example, GM created the best start stop technology in the industry. Nobody else even comes close. BMWs is probably the very worst. There are a handful of folks that refuse to believe this because they so badly want to believe that Germany > America. -Charlie@RoadflyTV

Emme, I love your reviews!! Very complete and entertaining!! I remember back in late 70s early 80s, when my dad had a 1967 Buick Skylark, with the rear wheels covers, I wish I had that car now to mod it.. That V8 engine was amazing!! May be thats why I still like Buick, especially the new models. Greetings from Panama!

People are seriously griping that this is "slow"? It's a 4-cylinder family sedan, not a race car. An 8.2-second 0-60 time is sufficient for most commuters and frankly, that's pretty quick for a car that only has 180 horses lugging 3,300 pounds around.

Car has much more presence in person and looks elegant--in my opinion. It drives quiet--smooth, compliant ride without being at all squishy. The engine notes reminded me of some 6's! Not bad. Wish the mileage was a little better....But, overall the car felt solid, substantial and well put together. I am 61 and I am finally thinking about such a vehicle. For years I was concerned about the Buick image for fear I'd finally turn into my father,--but I do like this car.

Exactly!!! I know GMC/Buick dealers are renovating their dealerships and improving customer service (minus the one we bought our Terrain from) but that is just my family's preference for a car brand/company. I personally think we can add vehicles to the 4 brands from a partnership like that, if it happened, and make the 4 core brands in GM's case stronger.

Emme or Charlie. Who decided who gets to review what car? Do you all test drive them and then Charlie picks. Do you all get a certain amount of vehicles to review? Do you have like niche markets where as Ross does more high-end cars or Emme does more sport cars? I love the work you all do. If you had an app to see your video's I'd be in heaven. I guess I'll just keep you-tubing from my phone. Great work EVERYONE.

I guess there is some hope for it. if.. had a K23Turbo in it (from old RDX). had SH-AWD (or cheaper AWD from the RDX/CR-V) with 6sp auto or 6sp manual. was lowered1.5-2.2inches. had some nice 18's. had on the concept bumpers/skirts with the Hybrids Deck Lid Spoiler and a TSX badge. With competitive prices at 30-34K for all mentioned above plus Advanced/Tech PKG's combined and you have deal if it hits 60 in under 5.8 seconds. Considering it could be 260lbsT and 240HP, AWD in a 2900lbs PKG.

The weather in latin america and specially in the caribbean is quite a challenge for most brands, they do even build in Mexico, Colombia, brasil and other countries to meet the market requirements. Does the Verano handle well this scenario? cuz even the lil detail of the front glass getting foggy cuz the hotness outside and the air conditioner on the inside is important sometimes. it happens to me with my mazda mazda 6i grand touring I brought from USA and It is crazy!

Hey Emme, thanks for the review, I got 2 questions, what did you average for mpg and liveability with how its styled cause of blind spots. Just an FYI, rumor was a 2.0L turbo not 2.4L Turbo and it is true, just saw 2013 update sheet and it will have it (idk hp #), in 4th quarter 2012, as well as other updates. ^^. I'm 22 and I got my eyes on a Verano. Oh yea.

I get it cut in DC at a place called Bang but I do the color myself. I blast it out with 40 Born Blonde and 40 developer then I use usually Beyond the Zone color as I find its the best balance between staying power and ease of clean up. Special Effects is great but it stains my tub. Manic Panic fades too quickly. If you have access to pro colors, let me know! I just buy all my stuff at Sally's. (is that answer too long? The Rod never fails, wears out, or needs replacement. Struts do. They cost more, they wear out, even from non-use, and there is no good reason to add them. Lock springs would be better. They are even used in six-figure luxury and super cars.

Section out the entire panel that is going to be the vibrant color. Pull thin sections and apply color to each. BUT foil each section back to back. So each time you pull a section it's goining to be in a foil. You don't need to be perfect just fold the foil in half over it. When your done doing that and your section looks like a delorian (see what I did there) go through and press a flat iron over each foil.
