Buhay Probinsiya: How To Plant Ube| Life in the Philippine Countryside| Breathtaking Batanes
The mountainous farm plots in Batanes comes to life from Fevruary to March each year as families, friends and relatives come together and celebrate the planting season of ube, which is the main staple.
The planting of ube demonstrate the ability of the locals to tame the harsh environment. Root crops is the preferred crop as it does not get easily affected by the ever changing wind in Batanes. The ube planting practices are unique to us and worth exploring when you are in the island.
