Bugs, Boondocking, and bad cooking | An Overlanding Adventure in the Upper Peninsula
Ойын-сауық
Welcome back! Im so glad to be back with another video! Come join me in the gorgeous Upper Peninsula of Michigan for a few days of camping! I brave the bugs, do some cooking (Albeit horrible...), and just generally explore! Of course I am overlanding in my 2023 Scout Kenai Truck Camper, Boondock in the 2017 Ford F350 Super Duty, and dispersed camping as we go! I hope you find this video relaxing with some nature sounds, river sounds, and beach sounds, along with some gorgeous visuals of the trip!
Thank you all for the continued support, and I really appreciate you guys sticking around while this channel evolves!

Thanks so much! I’ve missed making them! Thanks for sticking around!
SO great to see you back Josh !! The drone footage of the area was absolutely breathtaking and the sounds of all things nature just elevated the experience. I also thoroughly enjoyed the hilarious commentary from being afraid to open the camper door related to the army of flies to your cooking skills or lack there of had me laughing out loud ! Just another beautifully done video and I could not have been happier to enjoy more of your work ! BRAVO !!!

Thanks so much for watching! I’m so glad to be making videos again!
I grew up in central Michigan, and we spent almost every summer driving around the UP, along with that part of southern Canada. Tahquamenon Falls, Manistique, Newberry, Paradise and Marquette were family hunting meccas. Watched the ocean freighters navigate the Soo Locks, rode bicycles on Mackinac Island, and many others. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Thanks Mom! I’m so glad you liked it! I thought you would like the Butterfly!
So happy to see you back! It’s crazy I haven’t run into you. I’ve been in the Lake Superior/UP area for the past almost month. I can confirm the insanity of mosquitoes and biting flies (and that’s coming from someone from Florida). Safe travels, friend!

Oh man, I wish I would have known! And YES! The horse flys were insane!
Great video, I've never been to Michigan but I've heard ii's a beautiful state. Nice shots man! Loved the drone shots of the lake and everything else, nature is the place to be no matter where disperse camping is the way to go!

Thanks Kathy! Im so happy to be back making videos!
Love from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada! Beautiful video! Thanks for sharing that part of the US with us. And those birds chirruping sequence in the beginning - priceless! I remember 'Geography by Geoff' informing that Michigan got the northern Peninsula after a fight with Ohio in the south as the latter got a bigger portion of land because of a wrong map. Because that bigger portion, which actually should have gone to Michigan, had some of the bigger cities of Ohio at that time and Ohio wouldn't relent, the northern peninsula was given to Michigan as a compensation.

@@FoxandFir LOL! They tried, but the governor was given a shut up call back in those days.
Great video. Love the drone footage. We never get to see the area from that vantage point. Looking down at it is very beautiful. Maybe a fall adventure with some waterfalls. The color up there is breath taking. Cooking is not for everybody. You did a great job. Loved it all. Glad to see you are back.

Absolutely love the video Josh, honestly you look more relaxed. Love the personal story too. I love all of your videos and watch them until the end. I found you because I watch so many Wyoming videos. Any wildlife anywhere is wonderful. The barn owls are just amazing. Keep doing you.
