Two of our favourite grow-with-me strollers are the Donkey 5 from Bugaboo and the Gazelle S from Cybex.
Both models are premium convertible strollers that allow you to start as a single stroller and physically expand to hold a second seat when needed.

Love this - you'll have to report back on your experience!
I wish you had gone in to how this looks with a toddler and newborn. A lot of the inline double strollers have awkward or tight configurations that would be uncomfortable for the toddler. That’s really what I was trying to see as I was hoping to get the Cybex stroller. The donkey pricing is ridiculous for the duo, and with a rather bulky fold where you have to remove seats. At that price, I want a compact and quick fold.
I am a bugaboo fan.

The Donkey is known for it's maneuverability and easy push, so in your case, that might be your best bet!

The gazelle just came out with a battery push assist model. You should look at that one!
