I’ve used this stroller for over a year. I have the black one and no issues with the seat fabric or the footrest but have had issues with tipping sideways several times. Mostly at the zoo while pushing at a slight incline and then turning (slowly), it tips sideways. It’s happened enough that my 3yr old won’t get in anymore. Walking in the neighborhood, the front wheels get caught on broken sidewalk and I have to lift it up a bit to keep moving. Over all, great for walking through the airport or mall or mostly smooth terrain. It can be used for everyday but expect to have to be super careful as your child gets bigger. Something to do with the height of the seat & weight of the child, makes it easier to tip sideways. Cheers!

Ours gets used daily. We originally bought it for travel but it's absolutely sturdy enough to replace our main stroller and it copes with broken paving/grass much better than anticipated. I would not agree that this stroller is only for smooth malls/airports - I have had no issue on (admittedly light duty) off roading in parks, cities etc. Seat fabric is also bearing up well. Our only issues are: The button can be stiff and finicky, it could do with more recline, and on an adverse camber it is not that stable as described in the video (but this is not a deal breaker as in every other sense it is a great drive). The stability issue is really minor though, I live in an extremely hilly town and regularly go up and down steep inclines and there's really only a couple of occasions where it's ever caused me any degree of concern. Just use your common sense as with any stroller. No regrets about buying and hard recommend. Update: the button issue was down to misuse. Squeezing the stroller together when pushing the button 100pc solves it. I've had to replace the front wheel bearings, as they got ruined from dirt and water. I'd like to change the rear bearings too when i work that out! That's in 15 months of ownership and very heavy usage so really happy with that. Bearings only cost a fiver. Bugaboo footmuff (bought used) made this a great all weather option this winter. All fabrics are washed with techwash and treated with nikwax, and the whels are washed occasionally using car wash and wax, look like new. The black frame marks really easily though, so i need to see if that can be polished out. Still a hard recommend from me, used every single day on rough pavements, grass, mud the works. Copes brilliantly

@@Erin-op6hd ours is in black. Fabric looks like new still, but then again I did use a foot muff over the winter which will have protected it somewhat. I wash it in the machine on a slow spin with techwash and it comes out looking great. Frame marks way too easily with knocks and bumps but still hard recommend as a daily use stroller.

When you say you squeeze the stroller to remedy the sticky button problem, how exactly do you do this? My husband can easily collapse the stroller, but the buttons keep getting stuck on me and I can’t figure out why. My grip strength surely isn’t that bad!

I’ve only using my butterfly for about 2-3 months as my secondary trunk stroller mostly for dr visits or small stores or preschool drop off/pick up. I absolutely love it! I get the sideways tipping thing though but it’s never actually tipped but my 4 year old loves to push the baby and I would never let him without my hand on the stroller for the tipping reason. I really feel like it’s due to the narrow back wheels. I do wish the front wheels were a little bigger and the seat was a bit more upright. And also I wish they made a %#%^*=+ bugaboo snack tray for it. Spent so much money on the butterfly belly bar and then the silver cross dune snack tray that “fits” onto the belly bar. It’s far from my small 11 month old. I have the bugaboo snack tray on my chameleon and it’s the best snack tray ever. I don’t understand that after over a year on the market they don’t produce this simple accessory. I do like that it can with the connection point for the cup holder and the cup holder I had on my chameleon fit right on. At least I saved a few bucks there 😅. I’m excited to use it for travel next month and really hope it fits in the overhead compartment.

Ours got all kind of issues, the foot rest snapped, the canopy support also snapped but I could fix it, not a surprisy given the very flimsy plastic joints. The front wheels bearings broke down and sudently released the small spheres in the bearings, both of them a month apart. The rear wheels rubber split into two, both wheels also at different times. We also got the stroller tipping multiple times, specially while travelling in public bus, so we need to keep good hold of it the whole time. We don't have experience with more strollers so we can't really tell but we are very unsatisfied with the butterfly.

agree that bugaboo is overrated for build quality, important parts like hinges are cheaped out. mine started squeaking in the folding mechanisms after only a few months. this would be find on a 100quid stroller but for 400 I expect better.

We have the butterfly and fox 3. Love the performance of the Fox but it's not convenient to put in the car all the time. Our Butterfly does its job as a compact altho nowhere near as stable and smooth as the fox. We scuffed it a little but have been using it frequently without any other issue.

Our butterfly was used daily on slightly uneven footpath from September with no issues, now the tipping has started which I find unusual for a stroller. It has been the kindy run stroller so only used for 5 minutes or so each day for 5 months.

I do think it’s due to the narrow back I had a pushchair similar design to this but not made by bugaboo and it used to tip when going around corners in a certain way.

Even regular sized amazing strollers have a hard time with snow so I doubt that the butterfly’s small wheels would be a good idea for snow

My bugaboo fox has trouble with snowy streets (live in Finland) so I doubt the butterfly can handle it…One way to help with the snow is to lock the front wheels in place and the butterfly doesn’t have this option.

The fold/unfold button is also a very common problem. I am a light use owner of butterfly as I also have a Yoyo. Owned butterfly for 10 months and only preferred to use it for 4 or 5 months. Had got the button broken and replaced with warranty. I prefer butterfly for the daily use after bub was older than one year old, but I won’t choose it for travel as don’t want to have any unexpected surprises during trips.

@@QuynhNguyen-ql8hwFor me it would be butterfly as long as you don’t mind it has slightly more probability that you can’t take it as a carry on luggage. About 99% for Yoyo2 vs 95% for Butterfly. Butterfly’s shopping basket makes a big difference for daily life. And after one year old, my child prefers it as well. Maybe because it has a larger seat and slightly higher sitting position than Yoyo2.

@@QuynhNguyen-ql8hw I would choose yoyo2 very sturdy it kinda is like a small work horse 🤣. No matter the frills and bells of other strollers what i would hate is dealing with customer service over broken stroller, it us just too much stress, waisted time . I have used my yoyo ower cobblestones and broken pathways and even in snow 🤣. Works regardless . Have carried it up to 5th floor when lift got broken in apartment . leg rest however is mandatory

I did have a good time with yoyo before my son was 1 year and a half or so, but Butterfly won over after that age. So it’s very hard to say for a 9 month old. I’d say if you’re gonna use it as an everyday stroller, I would choose butterfly. But if it’s for travel only, I think it’s a tie.

I have been using Joolz aer for 8 months as a main strollers. No performance issues. I like the stroller’s suspension and steering. The only negative factors are mesh in the canopy, which requires to be covered if a baby sleeps, and not sturdy leg rest (but I use it only when the baby sleeps, so no matter for me)

In regards to the scuffs… no I disagree. The older models do not scratch as easily… I’ve noticed the fox 5 and butterfly scratches very easily… my fox 3 does not even though I treat it like a baby… there’s been a couple of times I’ve caught it by accident. However I’ve had 2 chassis replacement and wheel replacements. My buffalo was second hand and never had a single fault. Their build quality has gone way down. Mostly after the buffalo… it was madness of bugaboo to discontinue their best model. P.s it’s pronounced Ed-in-burrah 😉😂brits are weird I know
