Bugaboo Bee 6 VS Cybex Mios: Mechanics, Comfort, Use

In order to keep our recommendations up to date, we maintain a 'Buyer's Guide' (with a wide spectrum of models, and a lot of technical and lifestyle-related information). Organizing our recommendations this way makes it easier to include good models that we haven't made review-videos for yet, as well as to remove models which have developed unforeseen wear-issues over time, or which have been weakened by the manufacturer in their current iterations. You can access the guide (in addition to our 4-part video series on Choosing the Right Stroller for your Lifestyle, and other helpful content) on Patreon: / stroller-buyers-37953864

In this video we compare the Bugaboo Bee6 to the Cybex Mios, discussing these strollers in relation to comfort, functionality, engineering, longevity, and best use.

I went for the Mios because I thought the bee’s seat was too low at least by looking at it. Very happy with our Mios after a year and half of owning it: folding it is amazingly easy and he can handle walks on the park and gravel well enough. Only min is the basket is really small and has the inconvenient bar across it but other stroller accessories easily solve that :)

I’ve found a trick with the Mios: you can fold it when it’s parent facing, you just have to start folding the handle in first, then fold the seat down on top of the handle. That way the whole thing folds down to the same size as when it’s world facing. Also just to add that my husband is 6’3 and while the handle could be a bit taller, it’s not been an issue for him. We’ve found it to be a brilliant city pram with occasional off-road use.

I was in between these 2 models, although the bee6 is 1.5x the price of the mios here in Dubai, but ended up getting the cruz v2.

Hi I was in between these two leaning towards bee 6 I would need to travel with the stroller to the city that has a lot pabble stone streets. Would mios survive a 10 day trip like this?

I own a mios and can fold it when parent facing and also the handle bar height is adjustable. Not telescoping but does adjust up and down.

We had mios and we didn’t like it because it’s not as manoeuvrable as bee6, also mios hard to push with the baby in it, the basket is too small. And overall mios is unstable and always falls on the sides while you turn left/right. It’s not safe at all.

I was wondering what your opinion on the nuna triv is? Haven’t seen anything from you about nuna. Is there a reason for that? How do they perform in your opinion? From what I’ve seen so far, the nuna triv seems more attractive to me then either the cybex mios or the bugaboo bee6. It seems easy to fold in both directions, is lightweight and it comes with a removable merino wool seat fabric and mesh back.

Nuna products are hard to get in Norway, but we're finally going to start covering Nuna next week, with the Nuna Mixx Next.

On the topic of handle height on mios if anyone is interested: We’ re not buying it for different reasons, but my 2,02m husband and 1,87m me tried it out and the handle height was no issue.

You're right :) there is a slight adjustment ability, but not enough to make a significant difference for taller and shorter people (vs. what you get with the Bee6, for example). Thanks for the correction, though :)
