Bug Of The Month - Fishing Tricos with Brian Hilbert
Join Angler's Covey guide Brian Hilbert on the South Platte River as he discusses one of the toughest hatches to fish in North America. Trico mayflies or "Tricos" are a tiny black, olive or cream colored mayfly (sizes 20-26 most common) that typically hatch in the morning hours starting in July and go deep into fall. Trout really key in on this hatch and can frustrate anglers of all skill levels. Brian will give you the basics plus some fly fishing tips to help you successfully fish the Trico hatch!
