If I ever see daddy long leg spiders my immediate instinct is to *grab.* Edit: Daddy long leg spiders were the first type of spider that my dad taught me wasn’t harmful, so I practice facing my slight phobia of arachnids by picking those little guys up by one of their stick legs. Most of the time they just lay there and float for a second before moving and shuffling around in confusion, then I let go or put them back down where I found em, so don’t worry- I’m making sure not to harm the adorable little orbs on stilts :D

The joyous and chaotic insect hunt spoke to my childhood where I'd hunt under stones in the backyard for centipedes and roly-polies/pill bugs. The editing is also hilarious, well done. This video made me smile a lot, thank you.

You found what I believe is usually referred to as a cellar spider! It's harmless and enjoys eating bugs, including other spiders such as black widows.

If you find a jumping spider, they'll clear out fruit flies (usually, sometimes they're picky )

My goodness, where I live in the southern US, there are cicadas EVERYWHERE. I could bet ten bucks there’s one in my tree. Yep. I was right.

As someone who literally studies insects (specifically ants) and loves Wings of Fire I respect this video.

Well in my personal opinion all insects are cute. But yes ants are definitely the cutest. Genera like dyscothyrea are absolutely adorable. Aside from that ants are incredibly fascinating and have amazing behaviors and social structures that most people don’t seem to recognize.

I totally agree. However, not being afraid of bugs doesn’t really make you a sweet person. It just means you don’t have a phobia. As someone with a major phobia of bugs, I would give anything to irradiate my fear, but I honestly don’t think I can. But Bella does seem like such a sweet person. Just for different reasons than the fact she finds bugs cool.

Oh my goodness no not the spider- DONT BLOW IT AAH Okay but Arachnophobia aside, I found a white ladybug with some friends the other day :D it was so cool

Watching videos like this help me get over my irrational fear of bugs

I've JUST started hearing these a few days ago. They normally are around 2 weeks before July 4th

When you said Bug Hunt I really thought you meant for games lol

The beetle running away with that music cracked me up to tears

This helped me overcome my fear of cicadas (other then those teeth). The fear all started when I was like 7, I used to like to crush their shells for some reason. And I saw a MASIVE one. And I poked it and it FLEW DIRECTLY AT MY FACE AND LANDED ON IT 💀

The moment Bella does a close up on the cicada molting, I smell alcohol. Somebody tell me that this is not what cicadas smell like. OR ELSE IMMA DIEEEEEEIEIEEEEEEE!

I'd give everything to go bug hunt with my friend. But she's afraid of them :(

ive learned to not freak out when i see an ant because my house has been filled with them looking for delicious cat food to eat, except i did freak out when an enourmous one climbed up my book, *i nearly died*

Fun Fact about Cicadas: They spend the first 6 years of their life underground eating sap. After that they will come up to the surface for 1 day to shed their skin & breed. After their 1 day on the surface they die. Yeah I'm a nerd
