Great video! I’ve only tried Blanton’s, and have a bottle of Hancock’s I’m waiting to crack. The others I haven’t seen, or refuse to pay secondary. However this is a PERFECT video for anyone that’s curious about the differences. Nice breakdown, and nice analogies. Haha. Glad I stumbled on your new site. I enjoy your reviews. Here in Kentucky, home of Buffalo Trace, you can’t find any of these. Right now I’m entered in a lottery to see if I am one of the lucky few chosen to be eligible to buy a Blanton’s. No mention of the price they’ll want for it. But we are under the label of our current bottle so I hope I get the opportunity. All of these might as well be considered “allocated” BT products here in the home state of Kentucky Liquid Gold.

go to Oregon and find a bottle of elmer t lee for 37.99, price controlled state and not a big bourbon state.. They almost always have blantons at msrp. Hancock's is the most inconsistent in flavors barrel to barrel, have had a few not very good ones. Got Rock hill at total wines for 45.99, just need to go in when they get deliveries and watch them roll out the carts with cases on them from the back, early bird gets the bottle. They are all good bourbons but at or near msrp only.

I have had 2 bottles of Hancock's, the 1st one tasted like an Apple Cobbler, cinnamon/oak with confectiner's sugar sweetness.. My moat recent one tastes like an apple pie box from McDonald's with ciggrette ashes in it. Wild difference in experience with those 2 bottles.

You should've added John J. Bowman to this! They source their juice from Trace and the John J. is supposedly mash #2. Basically an affordable Blantons. Either way, thanks for uploading, I'm loving this channel

I've been trying whiskey round the world recently, think im a bourbon guy, second bourbon i had was wild turkey 101 and i loved it, im now drinking buffalo trace and i have a bottle of the balvenie 12 double wood scotch but prefer the buffalo trace, im also good with irish whiskey so I'm thinking I don't like scotch

Taking Mash 2 to the extreme is Blanton's SFTB and it's incredible

VA released bottles of Elmer this year. Was able to grab 2 for $40 each. Have yet to see a Rock Hill Farms in the wild. Blanton’s is over rated.

It's coming....

I finally got all four bourbons but, I paid secondary market price besides Blanton’s which was at msrp price. I guess the good thing is that I only buy one bottle of whatever it may be once. We got sh*tty liquors that take advantage of the market.

Love Hancock’s but even TW is marking it up to be a $60 bottle. They jumped the price $15 since October.

Is this the channel you guys had to make to get away from the Butcher?

I just tried 80% Weller 107 and 20% Eagle Rare 10 and it was awesome...Can anyone tell me after trying it, if that mixture is like Pappy 15?

It's sad how ridiculously rare these have become. I used to get ETL regularly at 35-45 bucks. Now as you indicated none of these can be found in regular store.

I literally just found a Hancocks on my total wines shelf for msrp, got it with a 15% coupon too... its alright

Just picked up a Buffalo Trace kosher rye recipe. Assuming this is mash bill 2 as well. Have you had it? How does it line up with these?

Our guess is that the Kosher rye recipe is more likely mashbill #1. Mashbill #2 is apparently still owned by AGE International, Inc - so it's unlikely anything with Mashbill 2 would be marketed under the Buffalo Trace name. Haven't tried the Kosher Rye recipe yet though - hope to try it soon.

You can find Blanton's in Ohio, IF you know "a guy" who is willing to tell you it's among the allocation that week and IF you're willing to stand in line for 2 hours waiting for the liquor store to open and IF they have two cases because you're 11th in line. Yes, it's that bad...
