During the Blizzard of 2022, Hoak's Lakeshore Restaurant became frozen solid in a thick casing of ice from the hurricane force winds brought by the deadly snowstorm. Located right along shores of Lake Erie, is one of dozens of establishments in Buffalo affected by the blizzard. Established in 1949, it is becoming world famous for being battered by storms blowing in off of the Great Lakes (Lake Erie). Amazingly, during these storms the place often stays open, serving drinks and food!
